I worked at Zynga as an intern

    Pros

Awesome people, good work, learning new technologies, great environment

    Cons

Nothing about it was really that bad, you get what you expect out of it, and its an awesome time if you really like games.

I worked at Zynga full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I no longer work there but my employment at Zynga has been the longest so far. This is a company that will challenge you non-stop but also rewards you for your hard work. They have a work hard-play hard attitude. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was free plus the millions snacks available on every floor of their building. I put on the famous "Zynga 15" (15 pounds of weight gain) from indulging in their delicious food. But don't be alarmed, they have a gym onsite with free boot-camp and kickboxing classes.

    Cons

Like everywhere, it might take some "butt-licking" in order to get promoted. They certainly took their sweet time to promote me after years of hard work and dedication but it happened eventually.

    Advice to Management

Formal verbal or written warning is advised

I have been working at Zynga as an intern

    Pros

Zynga has provided the interns an extremely friendly and open environments to learn and interact with industry people in the company. Things like Speaker Series and Hackathon have enhanced our experiences here in addition to learning and mentorship with hands on work. I feel very valued during this internship, and was able to access to resources while learning. Having dogs at the office to play with is a bonus.

    Cons

Would expect more structured mentorship for interns. A one on one mentorship system would be great in my opinion.

    Pros

    Great training.
    Challenging yet manageable volume work.
    Fun offsites and other events.
    Welcoming and friendly Culture.
    Strong Hackathon Focuses.

Three times upper level managers would act interested in side-projects I created for Zynga, asking to meet but would cancel the day of.

    I worked at Zynga full-time

    Pros

Great events for interns to help them get to know the company and their role within it. Hourly pay is good, great experience for those interested in joining the industry. You also get 5 days of paid time off and a housing stipend.

    Cons

Not a lot of attention is given to remote offices (non-San Francisco). They could do a better job of giving those locations special attention.

I have been working at Zynga full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Competitive salary / benefit packages, good people, new CEO.

    Cons

Stock has stagnated, but showing signs of going up this year.

    Advice to Management

Leaving because stock (retention) plan expired and new bonus structure does not really replace it (could be worth $0, so must be accounted as such).
