    Pros

amazing (free) food, bring your dog to work, generous health insurance, great location, brilliant and innovative co-workers, relaxed dress code, work hard play hard

    Cons

the growth opportunities in my area were limited and there were a lot meetings that didn't get to the point, everyone just danced around the issues. Change was slow and that is very costly for the gaming industry

    Pros

Amazing headquarters with all the amenities.
    Good work life balance.
Easy going environment full of good people.

    Cons

Lots of arguing within the company by employees and the C level management. Stress from lack of success in some of the games.

    Advice to Management

Improve the company from the inside out, can't create good games with unhappy employees.

    Pros

Lots of benefits/perks. You can move up in the company with hard work. Dogs at work is awesome. Much to learn from the companies methods.

    Cons

Too much turnover. coworkers and managers will come and go allowing for some disfunction for short periods of time, but allows you to take on more responsibility or have more say in the direction of the game.

    Advice to Management

Make games that people care about, which is really the hardest thing in the world.

I worked at Zynga (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Professional growth can be great if: 1) you are in the right team 2) working on the right challenge.
    Great work life balance.
    Perks are top notch.
    Smart colleagues. (mostly :))
    Great location.
    Cute pets all around.
    Culinary is great.
    Friday Happy hours.

    Cons

If you are not on the 1) right team 2) working on right challenge (there are not many ) - professional growth will stagnate.
Not all long timers are adding value to the current state of the company. Many make the atmosphere political.
There may be lot of busy work.

    Advice to Management

Don't let your most passionate people leave.

  9. "Great place to learn PMing"

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Opportunity to ship features frequently. High release cadence means there's plenty of opportunity to learn the art of product management.

    Cons

Challenging industry. Gaming is a hits driven business resulting in constant pressure to release and optimize games. Most games will fail, so there's even more pressure when you're on a successful game.
