    Pros

Mark Pincus is an easily manipulated doofus who thinks he is a visionary. This allows people with no skills except for politics to easily move up the ranks within the paranoid snake pit.

    Cons

You literally will spend a lot of time and effort and skills to what will most likely culminate in a rash and short-sighted decision. Ask anyone that has worked on any of the 100's of canceled projects that were underfunded in the first place. Frank Gibeau (who claims to have saved EA even though his main contribution to mobile [which he was demoted to after he was passed over by the board] was Plants v. Zombies 2, the steaming trainwreck. He was saved by Simpsons Tapped Out, but ask anyone on the nightmare that was the original launch of that product and you will know what a terrible leader Gibeau truly is. He has brought his failure friends from EA to drive down costs in SF to make it look like he turned Zynga into profit, even though the end result is a brain drain of epic proportions while funding Toronto and Oxford. Just a scam, but Pincus is too weak and dull to be able to stop it (just as Don Mattrick walked all over him as well).

    Advice to Management

Mark: Just close down the company. You don't even like video games. You should dissolve everything and try and do some kind of social media venture. Zynga is a broken idea based on your marketing foresight in Facebook days. Give up. Stop doing this to people. You are failing because you don't even want to be in this industry.

I have been working at Zynga full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Competitive salary if negotiated well, stocked kitchen and free lunch although these benefits have been reduced drastically in the recent few months and most others on the way out

    Cons

Office politics, mediocre middle managers without competence staying put at Zynga for a few years driving the company down, work culture is terrible

    Advice to Management

deliver on promises, focus on longer term goals than immediate results and remove incompetent people staying for many years on the basis of office politics

    Advice to Management

Improve the company from the inside out, can't create good games with unhappy employees.

I worked at Zynga (Less than a year)

    Pros

    early growth was big
lots of new responsibilities to master all the time
    a lot of great people
    good benefits
    IPO'd

    Cons

corruption, power struggles and politics was a constant
IPO'd in a historically bad manner, screwed a lot of employees, really poor management up top to do that to so many. Disgusting. Company gutted and at a low since the IPO. Probably will stay around its current value for some time to come. Comeback doubtful.

    Advice to Management

Who are you? Didn't know you, cause virtually everyone at the company was replaced as they exited after the IPO or whenever they could cash out. The higher up, usually, the worse the offense.

    Pros

Working with smart people. Good cafe food. Harmonious team environment. Cool building. Flexible work hour. No micro management.

    Cons

Project direction is not clear. Does not seem to have a road map to be an industry leader and inventor.

    Advice to Management

Need to motivate employees to work toward the same goal.

I worked at Zynga full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Perks, perks, perks! The cafe, gym, parking, salary, are all great here. Also nice to have your dog at work, and its a good location. People are generally very friendly, and the work is interesting from a finance perspective. There is a lot of international work which you don't always see.

    Cons

Management often uses the company for their personal playground, which can often times get in the way of you doing your job. Lots of overtime is expected but not necessarily expressed to you.

    Advice to Management

Work on increasing faith in the company.

I have been working at Zynga (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great and very talented people to work with. You can learn a lot.
    Great benefits and perks.
You can WFH any day. You can tele commute if needed.
    Vacation policy is very good.

    Cons

Lack of good leadership. They basically change the leaders every quarter and that messes up things.
Pay is always below the industry standard. They give you a good package when you start, but your pay will never increase much. after 1 year, you will earn less than average of what other companies pay for your level.
They cancel / reset / delay lot of projects which is very annoying.
Your opinion is not valued at all, when the leaders make a decision. All they care about is the stock price.
Most of the benefits were being cut since a couple years.

    Advice to Management

    Please hire good game designers
