I have been working at Zynga full-time

    Pros

Lots of opportunity to make huge changes in existing and new games, working with people with lots of expertise and experience, and world class facilities and amenities.

    Cons

Not a lot of big games to work on currently, disconnection between studio communication, and continuing to fight consolidation in the game market.

    Advice to Management

We need to continue to design and create games in house vs. acquiring external studios then closing them.

I have been working at Zynga full-time

    Pros

Challenging, launched a game title and have learned a ton

    Cons

There is a bit of politics, but not too bad
The company is still in the transition stages of its strategy, so there's a lot of differing opinions along the spectrum

    Advice to Management

Keep going with the strategy -- once we start to see results I think people will start to gain confidence in the direction of the company

I have been working at Zynga full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some of the coolest people who are very passionate about what they do. You feel like you are part of the product and everyone's opinions are heard.)
Free food and tons of things to do if you need a break, unlimited vacation (It's actually unlimited not one of those things they say to have you onboard) and Dog friendly.

    Cons

Can't think of anything on top of my mind.

I worked at Zynga as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great perks. Great work. Great dogs. The work was definitely interesting and always kept me on my toes. Found that I enjoyed the line of work.

    Cons

Business practices can be questionable at times. Was let go without any formal exit and wasn't even allowed to take home personal items. Really sketchy about it and didn't tell me why I was let go.

    Advice to Management

If you can't even tell an employee that they are let go to their face, I don't know how you can succeed at keeping your company stable.

I worked at Zynga full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

New CEO and crew know how to make great games
    CStaff are supportive of initiative

    Cons

Feel bad for the incoming CEO and crew who are used to working with world class game developers.
-Zynga is a place of bloated titles, people who failed up to VP status having never shipped a great game fill the company ranks.
    -Shallow CVs and Bloated Titles
Tons of inexperienced GMs, Directors and Middle Mangers making game decisions wrecking the company yoy.
A web company that makes games, does not treat them like entertainment
    Questionable accounting
    Operationally unsustainable
Product Management culture overwhelmingly disrupts greatness

    Advice to Management

    None
    This ship has sailed.
