I worked at arvato AG full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Pay, but training i guess

    Cons

Well there is a training process you have to go through, which is class based for 5 weeks. Its pretty rigorous, even though i had a hard time retaining the information and asked for accommodation, they could not provide the accommodation, i was asking for and they let me go. Even though they promised to not let the employees go.

    Advice to Management

    None

    Pros

Great colleges and a good environment in the workplace.

    Cons

The management is understaffed and because of it, the administration job is affected. Long shifts, the information about shift is always given very late (24h before the work starts)

    Advice to Management

Prepare better the shifts and enhance the communication with the staff.

I worked at arvato AG full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The job itself was easy enough and decent paid for Romania. Base salary is low but lot of chance to double it with easy to reach bonuses such as getting positive surveys and placing orders for customers. No outbound calling or typical salesman stuff, just place the order if the customer doesn't want or if there's an issue.
Work conditions were ok, and colleagues were by and large great.

    Cons

Biggest issue is that it's hard to advance unless the team managers like you. I was at least 10 years older than many of them and with a family, so despite being top of the team for 11 months straight after I started on the project, kept getting passed over in favor of younger, more outgoing candidates for anything that was going. Sure I was making more than them since they don't get the bonuses, but it's not the point when you want to advance career wise. Eventually left when an agent that I consistently beat every month, sometimes doubling her results, got a coaching position ahead of me.
Team managers are short sighted and mediocre because of this kind of policy. Only occasionally you can find a decent one that works hard and looks after your interests.

    Advice to Management

Promote people that deserve it and look after them and maybe projects such as the recent Microsoft Surface Support won't collapse due to bad quality results. A lot of the management of that newer project came from precisely these unqualified, mediocre but popular agents with predictable results that others end up paying for with their jobs.

    Pros

Easy to get in and easy way to make money. The job is simple. They provide training for everything.

    Cons

The job can get pretty monotonous after a while. There is less chance of growing.

    Advice to Management

The interior of the office is not at all pleasing. Please try to make it more comfortable and more lively for the employees. It'll work as an incentive!

I worked at arvato AG full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Involved management with plenty of news projects starting. Excellent training and team leaders to help out.

    Cons

Projects can shut down at any time and there is a lack of training for people management. Cramped offices are a minus with poor air con

    Advice to Management

Work on creating a more fun environment as the system you have now feels outdated and "bleached". You can tell it's a german company!

I worked at arvato AG full-time

    Pros

Free snacks (provided by Google, not Arvato)

    Cons

I've been trying to think of something nice to say but the words are really few. I liked the job itself, but that's about it.
During my time at Arvato I saw people in my team being bullied by management and HR, and my manager has been calling another colleague names.
HR were aware of our situation being unhappy with our manager but kept trying to joke it away and not take our concerns seriously.
Manager really forgetful over all, making it impossible to trust him.
There has been times where he has been forgetful telling the team to do/not do a certain thing, to then forget about it and giving out about the fact that we're doing it.
There is no way to proceed in the company if you are not already a favorite by management.
This is the only job where I have actually felt anxiety waking up in the mornings, trying to find excuses just to not go.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the employees if you want people to stay.

    Pros

I developed in a short space of time thanks mainly to my senior manager and my new management for having the belief to hire me.

Always happy for you to increase your workload to enhance your skills and experience

The opportunities are there if you WORK for them.

    Cons

The money is a lot less for the same position than other companies but the shortfall is worth enjoying your work and the people you work with.

    Advice to Management

    Keep exploring internally for talent.
