I worked at bebe stores (More than a year)

    Pros

If you enjoy helping assist people with finding an amazing look, then this job is for you! It is a fun upbeat environment. The most favorable part of the job is helping those who are intimidated by fashion find what they are looking for.

    Cons

Unfortunately, if you are looking for higher hourly pay, commission, or good benefits then this job is not for you.

    Advice to Management

My best advice would be for management to be more flexible with those who have to balance home and work like.

    Pros

This brand attracts a high caliber of talent in the hiring process. The benefits for full time staff are very good and overall employee phsyical health is a high priority at bebe.

    Cons

The list of job requirements that needed to be completed in the time frame given while creating the ideal environment for low loss percentages was nearly impossible. Pay rates need to be raised and more hours given for adequete scheduling. More part time stylists were always needed to cover the floor to increase sales and lower shrink during times of high traffic. Management bonuses are hard to achieve as turnover was high due to losing talented stylists to higher paying companies. Entry-level management makes a fraction of the salary of long term management while still being expected to manage the same workloads.

    Advice to Management

Advise to corp is to raise salary of staff to match job expectations in order to achieve goals.

I worked at bebe stores full-time

    Pros

Great discount, mediocre benefits, and a chance (back in the day) to work with amazing people.

    Cons

Used to be a great company to work for until the past 2 CEO's ripped the company apart. After numerous lay off's and a complete overhaul of the corporate office growth opportunities are minimal. Field expectations are ridiculous with payroll given and the incentives, like bonus programs/commission programs are not competitive anymore. We're basically asking people to work for the company for pennies.

    Advice to Management

Really hone in on talent. You used to have such great taken in your stores/corporate office. Figure out a CEO that can get the job done and then the business around. Your stocks are plemeting for a reason.

I worked at bebe stores full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Discounts are great. Health benefits for f/t employees are better than other companies.

    Cons

Your DM is not really there to support you. Upper management doesn't hesitate to tell you what needs to be achieved but there is little support or tools. Way too wishy washy at corporate with too many C-level employees coming and going. Pay increases are far and few between and bonuses are almost impossible to achieve.

    Advice to Management

Care more about the well-being of your people. Provide clear feedback and better training.

    Cons

Managers suck and play favorites. When your new to the job they take advantage of you and make you do their dirty work. Many of the girls steal your commission and you get paid little of nothing!

    Advice to Management
