I worked at bebe stores part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Creative environment. Just like any other job it depends on who you work with. The company is big on woman empowerment and pro open breast-feeding. Really good commission. $120 sale= $2 $200= 5 $300= $10 and so on. Sounds hard but it builds up and theres room to move up!

    Cons

None that I can think of.

    Pros

Great people to work for. They really care about you as a person and they will work with you.

    Cons

Commission is based on DPH and sometimes it's hard to make it during the off season.

    Advice to Management

Change back to the old commission plan where you get commission per sale as opposed to biweekly DPH

I worked at bebe stores part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    The 50% discount, great clothes

    Cons

Very competitive. I worked at an LA area store and the girls all hated each other. The customers were also really mean and life or death about if a dress was there in their size and didn't always treat you like you were human. My much harder full time jobs have been a breeze compared to this hell. For a part time job, this job was hell, I don't know why I stayed so long. I guess I was scared to find a new job. This could have been just at my particular store where girls hated each other and our manager micromanaged. I think there are probably Bebe's that aren't as bad to work at, particularly in different areas of the country.

I worked at bebe stores part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good bebefits, fun atmosphere, usually fun clients who are brand loyal, excellent training and easy to advance if the desire is there.

    Cons

Evenings, weekends and all holidays so the hours arent the greatest if you're in a store. Can be difficult to find good, consistent staff if you're managing a store but that's anywhere really.

    Pros

If you love retail - this is a great job! Great discount for fab clothes!

    Cons

Low pay...if you are a fashionista....it gets expensive with the discount

    Advice to Management

    Pay more...

    Pros

Bebe is great place to start in retail as far as learning how to build clientele, making sure the client is happy, and paying attention to detail. I met some cool people too, and I was able to network and land another job through a client.

    Cons

It can be slow some days, but what retail store doesn't go through this. Hourly Pay could have been better.

    Advice to Management

I would say that, management should try to get a sense of what each employee strengths and weaknesses are to delegate accordingly.

I worked at bebe stores part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The discount is amazing , the hours are flexible, it is a fun job, and if your a girly girl your in heaven.

    Cons

Does not offer full time for associates and pay could be better.

    Advice to Management

Check in on stores and encourage management to be more motivating to stylist, plenty of potential is working for them.

    Pros

Awesome employee discount. I made some great friendships with the people I worked with.

    Cons

Holidays were insane. Pay was low and commission was scaled on this new system that made no sense. Sick policy...what sick policy? Apparently it was expected to come to work even if you were throwing up. I don't remember how many times I worked and there was someone coughing, running a fever, etc. and weren't able to go home.

The best part of working was the amazing discount on clothes. There was always something new in store to share with customers

    Cons

The great discount got me in a lot of trouble with the husband. Catty sales environment
