It's a great office, great location and there was always a progressive attitude about work/life balance, family obligations, flexibility, etc. There was also good office spirit, Halloween costume contest, chili cook-off, etc.
Cons
It's been a ship without a rudder for a long time now. Bad decisions were made, crazy turnover, initiatives in all directions being carried out by way too few people, who are brand new or veterans hanging on by strings.
When I was there, a high quality group of people across most departments that were really invested in improving the lives of people with diabetes. The original start up team and those that led it through it's first five years of growth were stellar.
Cons
IT has always been the company's achilles heel. Can't function as a tech company if you don't have the people or backbone to support it. The company was bought out by an India-based media company a few years ago, and seem to have dropped off the radar since.
Some good hard working people are there. Location is very convenient, across from the metro north train station. Lots to do in that location.
Cons
Management is clueless and does not understand the business, unless the goal is to be a proxy advertisement site for any pharma company the will pay. Dlife.com is a pharma website with a little bit of diabetes info and old recipes that they keep reshuffling, in hopes of making it look like new content. For a diabetes company it is weird that they have huge bowls of candy EVERYWHERE!.. Amazing.
