    Pros

DealNews is a really unique environment in that you can tell management actually cares about their employees' well-being. It's really nice to work somewhere where people ask how you or your family are doing, and truly care about your response. That's rare in the workplace these days.

    Cons

There are no cons that I have seen so far. There are a lot of virtual employees, so it's difficult to connect with everyone sometimes, but that's not really a con.

    Advice to Management

Keep on doing what you're doing. Appreciate your employees and they will always go the extra mile for you!

I have been working at dealnews.com full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I work from home whenever I want, and yet the company has a great culture. Realism ... people here are grounded. Seem to only hire nice people. People listen to each other. Career growth ... most of the managers started at entry-level jobs. Super low turnover ... it's like everyone has been here at least 4 years. The benefits (Blue Cross, 401k, etc.) are as good as I've ever had.

    Cons

There are three offices in two countries, but many of us don't get to visit the other offices and get to know our co-workers. (Doesn't matter if you work from home.) And I suppose it's a minor thing, but it's hard not to buy the deals ... I really do spend more money overall because I work here.

    Advice to Management

It's been a long time since everyone got together in one place. Of course, the company is a lot larger now.

I have been working at dealnews.com full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

DealNews has amazing benefits, paid time off, flex holidays, and truly cool people in supervisory/management roles (which is rare). Technical writing is not something that I ever pictured myself doing, but the environment of this company has impressed me so much that I want to continue to be a part of it.

    Cons

The only con I can think to mention is that the work can become a little tedious at times.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. It makes me so proud to be a part of the team when you offer matching funds for charitable causes.
