I worked at dick clark productions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some good, talented people to work with
Well-known, fun shows to work on
    Good benefits

    Cons

Upper management is toxic. They treat everyone below them with disrespect. There is a lot of turnover because people are over worked and under appreciated. Nothing changes because HR is a joke, sucking up to the higher-ups and talking badly about lower employees thinking that is what will get her on management's good side.

    Advice to Management

Improve office culture and communication. Stop gossiping. Production requires hard work and long hours, but there is no need to remind everyone who has the most power by driving them into the ground. Employees will do a better job and work harder for you if you treat them like people.

I worked at dick clark productions full-time

    Pros

Exciting fast paced and heralded work. Some of the top assets in the industry at hand. High end production values, multi-channel leader, many friendly co-workers (and great medical benefits and and free lunch)

    Cons

Smaller nimble team - many shows in the year, some feel back to back from production standpoint (but that is nature of the business)

    Pros

Lots of nice people, very helpful to a young intern like myself.

    Cons

Only worked part time in the summer, didn't have a chance to get very close with multiple employees.

I have been working at dick clark productions full-time

    Pros

Most of the people at the company are really nice. They try to produce shows that have a current feel. They give yearly bonuses to full-time employees.

    Cons

Morale in the company seems to be low. A lot of good people have been let go or have left on their own accord. There is no feeling of appreciation given to employees who work really hard. There is no feeling of teamwork between departments. Communication is lacking.

    Advice to Management

Upper management doesn't seem to notice what is going on with their employees. It's summer, throw an ice cream social. We are producing television and the company is very serious, have some fun! The culture is stagnant. There is no culture. Create culture. Google, Facebook, Netflix, these are examples of companies with a work/life culture.

I worked at dick clark productions full-time

    Pros

There are a handful of truly talented and smart people within this company. The problem is that there aren't many left as the company has transitioned away from being a creative production company into a soul-crushing bottom-line watcher.

    Cons

Upper management is 100% out-of-touch with the company. There's an incredible disconnect, and employees are treated like robots instead of people.

    Advice to Management

    Be kind.
