    Negative Outlook

I worked at e-cop pte full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

As long as you play politic and play ball with the useless general manager and dept heads, you can get more pay. Work wise is total outdated as compared to the industry standard, so if you are not into advancing your career, you can relax there. I am not, so I choose to leave after 1 year.

    Cons

Politics is crazy after new management take over.
This shop should close down in next few years.

    Advice to Management

Stop bargaining salary with staff or quit the security industry.

  2. "Too much politics. Inflexible work management especially for shift workers"

    Cons

Inflexible management that uses rules as a solution to all problems despite not being effective.

    Advice to Management

    Positive Outlook

    Pros

There are a lot of young people around the age of 20 to early 30s working in e-Cop. E-Cop is business of Certis Cisco whose parent company is Temasek Holding. It is a pleasure and fortunate to be able to work with such a big company like e-Cop after it merge with e-Cop

    Cons

Big Company when merge with Certis Cisco but some of the process has already been outdated like applying leaves online. No shared intranet network. 1 single System adminstrator when things are down not sure who to refer to.

    Advice to Management

Response faster to the employee's need.
Simple things like having a wireless access to printer.
Application to Leave Can be done faster

    I worked at e-cop pte full-time

    Pros

Good exposure for fresh grads who wish to go into cyber security. Provides training to fresh grads without any experience and helps to build up their skills. Friendly people to work with.

    Cons

Shift work. 2 days work 2 days off 12 hours per shift. Seems like there is no work life balance as might be required to be on standby occasionally.

    Advice to Management

More work life balance for employees. Better progression opportunities.

    I worked at e-cop pte full-time

    Pros

    - Accepts fresh graduates into the IT security field.
    - Place to build experience into IT security field.

    Cons

    - Career progression for the lower tier staff is virtually non-existent.
    - Inter-department communication of expectations needs to be improved.

    Advice to Management

Try to retain staff that are of value by proactively doing salary adjustments regularly, especially the lower tier staff, instead of just putting it off at a yearly increment. Morale will be affected and the company will never be able to grow and prosper due to the attrition rate.
