    Pros

    Pros

Great Benefits, good PTO, good room for promotion. The center itself is clean and well-maintained. We have on and off-site IT that can assist with issues 24 hours a day.

    Cons

Takes a long time to make business decisions. Hiring decisions are outsourced to a talent acquisition team that knows little about our day-to-day business, which makes it difficult for me to hire to fit my needs.

    Advice to Management

Cutting the red tape so that decisions that affect a specific site are made in that site. So often positive change is stalled by higher-ups that don't see the value because they are not close enough to the issue.

I have been working at eBay Enterprise full-time

    Pros

Good benefits(over 100 hours of paid time off) and health insurance(very good, hard to come across). Flexible with schedules for school. Nice break room. Pretty easy work. Generous amount of sick/late days. Time+time and a half for holiday pay(×2.5)

    Cons

Little to no room for advancement. Calls are graded with a book to the face. Benefits will likely disappear as eBay is looking to sell EBay Enterprise. No good recognition program. Questionable management. Training has little hands on practice. You'll have to start as a temp. HR can be really rude. Favoritism.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, they have a lot of good ideas as they are working directly with the customers.

    Pros

The company recognizes talent and will reward good work with a very rapid promotion schedule.

    Cons

They expect very little from their initial phone rep hires, and treat them like the lowest common denominator across the board.

    Pros

    The insurance benefits
Some verticals can work from home

    Cons

    Management is terrible
They hire people to be supervisors who have never worked in a call center and have no clue
The people in the trenches, on the phones, are the ones who keep this company in business. Yet they're the least well treated--pay is poor, no bonuses, always understaffed.
They keep people who can't do the job, just to have a warm body to answer the phone.
The longer you've been there, the more work and crap they pile on you with no pay increase.

    Advice to Management

Start getting rid of some of the slackers around there. You have good people who have hung in there for years, yet you don't recognize that. I've never been treated so poorly by a company. You have supervisors who don't know what they're doing and pass off their work onto their underlings to do, then take the credit themselves. This could be a decent company if management would wake up and start treating people like VALUED employees.
