I worked at eBay Enterprise full-time

    Pros

Work environment and some good co-workers. Pay and benefits were good.

    Cons

Some co-workers will stab you in the back to get ahead. Politics instead of hard work gets you preferential treatment. No room for advancement due to good ol boy network. If you aren't in their group, forget about advancement.

Future of company unsure with the layoffs and investors splitting up the company

    Advice to Management

You've chased away a lot of good people. Without good people, your bottom line will suffer.

I have been working at eBay Enterprise full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Besides decent pay there is nothing positive to say about working for Ebay Enterprise that is now owned by private equity firm Sterling Partners.

    Cons

Many good benefits were taken away after sterling partners took over the company.
    1. Two paid holidays were taken away.
    2. No more company issued stock.
    3. Health benefits are much worse.
    4. Constant mass layoffs that happen about 3 times per year.
    5. Management doesn't care about employees
    6. Unrealistic deadlines

Overall this is a horrible place to work at!

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees. Figure out the direction company should be headed. People work much better when they don't have to think if this job is going to be here tomorrow.

I have been working at eBay Enterprise full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Can't think of of one pro since Sterling partners took the helm. Cutrate beneftis, company holidays cut down by two days and no raises until further notice. The future of this company is very bleak.

    Cons

Culture of fear, be happy you still have a job and weren't part of the layoffs that seem to happen a few times a year now. No direction, horrible management top to bottom. Lame duck CEO.

    Advice to Management

Stop the charade and start being honest and open with your employees, we built this company not you the bloated senior management that seem to be just waiting to pull the ripcords on your golden parachutes. You obviously only care about yourselves because you have sold your employees down the river.

    Pros

The only pro is that the employees are a great bunch of people and great to work with

    Cons

    Layoffs every 3 months
Unless you are married to someone in HR or chummy with someone from upper management you will not last.
Management changes management/direction philosophy like changing underwear...every day.

    Advice to Management

Management too far gone to care and take advice

    Pros

It USED to be an OK place to work, before it was sold by eBay Inc. This company, in its whole form, no longer exists though. Great people, mostly, as long as they are not too high up in the chain of command (or lack of command, rather).

    Cons

The company has collapsed right after it was sold off by eBay Inc and split into parts. Some parts may be better than others, but it's fair to say they all suffer from mismanagement, archaic technology, and lack of efficient business process. Transition out of the whole into the individual units was poorly managed, many key benefits were lost, and employees were leaving faster than company could announce yet another restructuring.

I have been working at eBay Enterprise full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There are some very talented engineers and architects sprinkled throughout the company.

    Cons

The two largest cons are the culture and the outlook going forward. Corners and processes are cut for the sake of meaningless timelines. No clearly defined roadmap is presented to employees which leaves a sense of uncertainty in the workforce.

    Advice to Management

Define your vision for what the company will be going forward and present it to the employees. Foster a sense of permanence and importance in your projects.
