I worked at eBay Enterprise full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They made sure to have open opportunities.

    Cons

Around the time I was working with GSI half of the people in the building were rude. Nobody showed any sympathy about anything

I worked at eBay Enterprise full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They paid very well to attract talent and bring folks in that could make a difference if there was organization.

    Cons

Very unorganized.... there was little to no direction for staff members. There were too many silos and there was no collaboration amongst teams.

    Advice to Management

Need leadership and organization. Need to understand talent and how to motivate the team to work together and collaborate for the benefit of their clients.

    Pros

The pay rate for part time or seasonal is really good. Depending on time of year it is easy to get hired on and the variety of jobs to choose from are very good..

    Cons

Part time or seasonal workers do not get treated as well as full time workers. If you are late eve 1 minute from break, managers will berate you. Full timers can walk off and talk with their friends, but bosses will berate part timers infronnt of everyone. All employees are not equal.

    Advice to Management

Please understand that ALL employees deserve the same treatment as your full time employees. The kind are good, pay is great, but some higher ups need to treat part time or seasonal employees the same as every one else that works for your company.

I worked at eBay Enterprise full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

International scope, big name company engagement, wide network of contacts. eBay Enterprise was rebranded as radial.

    Cons

Complex sale environment with long lead times. Multiple internal stakeholders difficult to get consensus from US HQ on how to win business. (the were in the middle of a company sell off) Strong competition from smaller leaner companies that are seen as specialists within the retail technology space.

I worked at eBay Enterprise full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

High pressure do or die environment. Tens of thousands of critical parallel systems, all of them being used at peak.

    Cons

If you make a mistake in production, you can cost the company many times your salary. You will be fired. Don't screw up.

    Advice to Management

    Don't water down the culture.

    Pros

I worked at eBay Enterprise full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great co-workers, great benefits, beer Fridays. Honestly those were the only pros at the time of my departure.

    Cons

The company started out as e-Dialog then went through 2 separate acquisitions. What was originally a fun work environment sadly turned into a stressful, less organized mess.

    Advice to Management

There needs to be better communication from the higher-ups. I felt like everyone was kept from the truth of what direction the company was really heading in.
