I worked at eBay full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There was a wonderful work life balance. I had amazing colleagues. I got to work on a great product. Even though it is a large company, it felt small.

    Cons

Too much bureaucracy and political morass. It was difficult to get this done quickly and there was fear to make changes. Head quarters were subpar, especially given the company size and

I worked at eBay full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Amazing people to work with, lots of innovation, scale of operations on both sides of the marketplace

    Cons

Lack of consistence in strategy, too short-term focused, constantly in cognitive dissonance between being a consumer-to-consumer marketplace and a retailer.

    Advice to Management

Lock down the company's true focus

I worked at eBay (More than a year)

    Pros

Great communications, great attitude, everyone tries to help or at least direct to the person that can help. Regular all hands meetings, company is very transparent in terms of what is happening, what to expect, which direction it is going.

    Cons

A bit slow on decision-making side. most of the times to get to the implementation of a great idea it can take years.. and the momentum is lost.

    Pros

Great company. Really enjoy working with them. Great pay. Challenging work but very fun. I would definitely recommend applied get here.

    Cons

Ebay is a very massive company. Lots of people going every which way. Challenging work and a lot is expected out of you. Always finish your work.

    Advice to Management

Keep a strong eye on everyone. Keep an open mind and always remember mistakes can be made. No one is perfect but overall great company

I worked at eBay as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Laid back. Better male/female ratio in the industry. There are some really good teams, and it isn't all java. You aren't expected to live at work.

    Cons

Lot of useless projects. My internship project turned out to be one of them. There wasn't that much to do on the campuses compared to other tech companies, but they weren't as insane with hours as other tech companies.

    Advice to Management

Ebay seems like it is dying because of middle management politics. There is a lot of talent at the company, but it is going the same path as Yahoo.

I worked at eBay (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The work / life balance, compensation, and perks were all great. I worked with a solid and talented team.

    Cons

Management changed and things seem to fall apart. It felt like the vision and strategy of the company was always shifting. Clearly felt like an identity crisis - do we want to be Amazon and Walmart or Etsy.
