      Worst job I've ever had

Aug 8, 2019 - Customer Service Representative in Westborough, MA
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

My co-workers were awesome and a lot of fun to work with. Same for the most part with the mentors. The pay is average but the benefits are pretty good.

      Cons

They get you in the door with a bunch of lies about how you'll be helping customers and solving issues. This is however, a call center job. They want you to help the customers but only if you can accomplish it in under 7 minutes. If not, you set up a case and the customer may wait 48 hours for a call back. The customers are very rude and you're expected to jump back in call after horrible call within 1 minute of the last call ending. Some reps were able to make the outrageous numbers they want you to hit but most people are not and you are blamed for that instead of poor training. The training you are given is 3 months dedicated mostly to training the trainers. It's worthless, painful, and required. I eventually walked out because you can't even give a 2 week notice without them firing you (this is true and happened multiple times). If you think you can handle 2 years of an extremely toxic environment, you can post out of the department but only if you maintain your numbers and hide any negativity from the team lead who is at best emotionally unstable. Also, if you are or become pregnant or have kids, you will be treated unfairly and expected to put the job before your children's health.

      Speechless

Mar 7, 2019 - Sales in Westborough, MA

      Business Outlook

      Pros

-Benefits are great -Pay is average-above average, but compensation is based on the amount of time you have spent at the company, not what an individual is worth. -Great to get your foot in the door in the healthcare industry -Product is a great and usable EHR

      Cons

-No employee sales training. People are talking about the product who have no expertise on it. - Team Leads are unfit to be in leadership positions. They are just there because of the time spent and comfort they cause other Team Leads. They are only concerned with holding a job, could care less about the customer/company. -Time management is impossible to handle. They expect you to take on the workload of multiple people. Customer satisfaction suffers greatly. -Can't retain good talent and what remains is what should leave

Very bad company to work for

Oct 18, 2018 - Technical Account Manager in Westborough, MA
      Recommend

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Cannot think of any pros... Run away asap

      Cons

Bad environment especially in support. Work load and pressure is too much. Salaries are way below industry standards. They do not like to pay their employees at all. Exploitation for employees who are on visa. Team leads are in their positions due to the number of years they spent there, no relevance to technical or managerial skills. Mentors are a biggest joke in this company. People who are lazy and do not want to work are promoted to mentor positions who being in customer facing roles do not talk to customers. Team leads and mentors do not contribute to work even when queue counts go crazy. The entire expectation to do customer support, testing, analysis, finding bugs is on the technical account manager a.k.a technical support. Team leads only care about the numbers and do not consider employee issues. This company lacks work culture big time. If you are willing to work like a donkey and nod your head to your team lead to anything and everything, then this is the place. The software is extremely buggy and instead of improving it, this company concentrates more on exploiting their support employees by asking them to do their best. Most employees are relatives. Managers find pleasure in publicly insulting their employees without giving them a chance to talk. RUN away from this company... STAY AWAY from here.

      Not what it appears!

      Pros

Bonuses, Time Off, 401k matching, good insurance and location.

      Cons

If you are not from India, or somehow related to one of the owners, you are treated very unfairly. There is definate favouritism and it is openly show by Management/Team Leads. Team Leads are allowed to have family members as direct reports, most of whom are their significant others. VERY, VERY, VERY unhealthy/toxic environment, where bullying occurs and often goes unnoticed.

      Keep Looking Elsewhere

      Pros

Team members working with are helpful and intelligent and willing to assist

      Cons

Long but worth every minute of reading. Zero flexibility in the year 2019. They tell you to answer a call after hours if clients call, yet you can’t work from home! State of emergency declared for snow but their office is open so you have to come in or take PTO. there is zero care for the employees, especially if you’re not a male or not from India. Zero advancement, only continuous false hope unless you’re related or have been there 10 years. If you’re thinking about Account Management GET FAR FAR AWAY FROM HERE!!! They have NO IDEA what an account manager is, how to handle accounts and have zero idea on the client type and volume of accounts you can actually handle - they set you up for failure! It’s so disappointing. I had high hopes never wanting to leave this company and being here over 5+ years I can’t handle it anymore. Telling you to do everything they say but there is Zero flexibility when you need help. Now after 5 years they want to force you to travel onsite to clients ... SO USELESS. If you don’t like it then quit. That’s their answer for everything. No work from home even though everything can be accomplished remotely, how dare you actually use your PTO, team leads have zero idea how to actually lead a team and everyone’s so fearful of Mahesh they don’t say no and end up screwing themselves and their teams in the crossfire. HR is a JOKE. They outright harass you god forbid you don’t have a visa to worry about and open your mouth, everything you do or say is under a microscope it’s disgusting and I don’t know how the heck they get away with this. Excuses now are it’s a policy because of the CIA because they were shady and tried cheating the government to get certification. It’s not policy and new work driving your employees out the door it’s the disgusting culture you’ve created. Fear for your job daily, do everything even though you’d have to stay late and work weekends to do it, no advancement, below industry standards on pay across the board and departments. Being a SAM means doing every other departments job, you’re the ONLY one being held accountable for the customer and their issues, work late and weekends without pay or recognition, micromanagement by a manager who doesn’t even know how to identify risk, you better fear for your job daily or else your complacent and that’s not cool, don’t ever expect to advance or go to another team, bonuses are a joke, raises are a joke, and management constantly assumes they were “weak” for leaving because of extra policies coming in instead of reflecting and taking accountability they preach to learn that it’s their inability to work WITH their employees. Let the TL make a call about work from home with that flexibility and travel isn’t mandatory for long standing employees - you’d have employees working harder and not even knowing it and have retention instead of a revolving door. Create a culture of value because your culture now is aggressive fear and no ones good enough and Ecw will tell you what to do and that’s it if you don’t like it leave. Wonder why the oversight organization hasn’t even touched the support department because it’s HALF of the companies issues right there. Open the flood gates. If you’re an Indian, or a male ... you’d do well. However regardless of talent you’ll be told nothing is good enough on a daily basis. Regardless you get the greatest surgery’s from clients who bring a million annually they couldn’t care. It’s sad, it’s defeating, its disgusting and 7 PEOPLE in one department left IN THREE WEEKS and they’re not even trying to think what they can do to keep those still here, here. It’s so disappointing.

great for first time job, fresh out of school; high turnover, low wages

      Business Outlook

      Pros

firing is almost unheard of- you will be trained and retrained to find a fit for your abilities. incentives are there, however leaps and bounds under market value. founders are there to listen (mostly), ability to move laterally and plenty of opportunity to do so. working in office is a great positive atmosphere with plenty of opportunity to meet diverse set of peoples

      Cons

no ability to move up, managers are chosen based on seniority, nepotism is rampant within families (YES families and friends get hired and chosen over those with ability), team leads micromanage and treat horribly those who question authority (and experience no repercussions). Pay is tens of thousands below industry standard, there is little to no company wide SET standards or protocol as each team is its own microcosm. resources are ALWAYS tight, developers and techs are loaded with work to where they must be begged bribed or threatened to get anything done. There is no accountability within the team lead group nor the dev/ programmer teams. promises are always made and broken. company culture, while diverse and offers opportunity for everyone, favors indians over anyone else- and most in that group purport to be blind to this. To add insult to injury, you will RARELY be rewarded or recognized for hard work- rather, handing out negative criticisms and feedback is the way to go...

      They treat you like "SLAVES"

Oct 28, 2016 - Data Migration Specialist in Westborough, MA

      Business Outlook

      Pros

the only pros I would say is - they apply for your H1 visa but when they do that - you are stuck in this company for some time.

      Cons

Lots of problems - they treat you like slaves. They don't consider you their employees - its just they are paying you and you have to work day and night. They don't pay money as well. In my team nothing was new - so basically I was not learning anything and neither getting paid. Job description they add is false - DO NOT FALL FOR THAT - always ask an employee who is working in this company. Managers are SOOO RUDE!! They shout at you in front of everyone - they delegate their mistakes on you and then shout at you and when you ask for reason - they remind you how much they are paying you and you can't speak in front of them. I used to work day and night - still it was never enough for them- lot of after hours work. My life was hell when I was working there. They never encourage you - the only thing they do is demotivating their employees so that no one can speak in front of them and no one can ask for hike!! Its a family company. Most of the Managers are related to each other or to the CEOs - so u cant even complaint to higher authorities. Managers have no work ethics! No manners! Working there was a nightmare for me. Some CEOs are still good but most team leads are horrible!!! DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT WORKING FOR THEM SPECIALLY IN DATA MIGRATION TEAM!!

      FAVORTISM AND POLITICS

      Mar 25, 2018 - Anonymous Employee
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Job security used to be a thing but not anymore.

      Cons

******WESTBOROUGH SUPPORT****** 1. FAVORITISM - If you have the ability to gossip and say YES to everything your Lead says than congratulations - you do not have to work hard for promotion and higher bonus and higher increment. 2. EGO - Team leads are egoistic as they cannot hear no from employee. You better do what you have been asked otherwise your days are limited in company. 3. MENTAL TORTURE - Some Team Leads have become Master of mental torture. They always play mind games and try to belittle you in front of other LEADS/Managers/CEO and new/Junior team members. 4. LEADER - Team leads does not know the meaning of being a leader. They only spent their time in gossiping with favorite team members. 5. THREAT - Team lead threaten employees - you cannot go home , no one leave until I say so. All this happens when TL is always coming late to office and leaving early. 6. VISA STATUS - They take advantage of your visa status and always keep you scared that they can fire you any time. No Leads says that directly but we are mature enough to understand that they are trying to threaten us. 7. RAISE - They won't give you the money you deserve if you are not part of inner circle aka FAVORITE.
