    Pros

benefits somewhat, but expensive. They did just change 401K vesting.

    Cons

Be careful when joining this company that accounts are spelled out. If not you will be sharing dollars because accounts are under other names with no activity. This is a hold over from the early days of ePlus. So the entitlement is expected by long term employees.

    Pros

Everyone is willing to help each other in a pinch.

    Cons

Everyone works about 60 hours a week. The pay sounded great until I found this out. The person who hired me many years ago, still does the hiring, but has no idea what we did, except what the title tells you. He bases his hiring decision on pre established questions, talks like he understands it, and is a good listener. Later, you realize he has no idea what we do, he understands the basic concepts. He seemed about that truthful during my years there as well. If you don't like it, keep your mouth shut, do your work, and keep looking.

    Advice to Management

Management sets precedence on the loyalty, honesty, and integrity of a company. If the leaders don't have it, in the end, no one will at this company. You can increase the pay but that doesn't make up for the indiscretions and inconsistencies in treatment

    Pros

    The office has a cafeteria

    Cons

    * Pay is below baseline salaries compared to the going rate in this area
    * Most projects dont ever reach completion due to bad planning and resource management
    * Top management are not technically strong so decisions made are not in best interest of technical practice
    * Top and middle level management micro-manage and affect productivity on every task.
    * No proper project management practices
    * Toxic political climate, everyone complains about everyone else

    Advice to Management

The company is growing quickly due to acquiring of other companies. The growth is not organic. Please do a inventory of all your products and invest in revamping the products/integrations to work better instead of duck tape programming. Invest in your employees, provide good benefits and hire good talent.

    Pros

You get your own cubical with limited space.

    Cons

Horrible upper management. If you have personnel conflict, they will back up whoever has the higher ranking even if you have the proper evidence. Their HR department is the worst I have ever seen.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employee with respect.

    Pros

Good Growth as legacy companies exit the lower margin business and hand it over to ePlus

    Cons

Still no equity plan to employees ? Don't they deserve it ? RSUs, ESPPs ? Bad experience in the 90's shouldn't stop ePlus from moving forward with rewarding success...

    Advice to Management

As the company succeeds so should the employees..

    Pros

Decent benefits, PTO etc, average for the industry. Salaries are fair and willing to pay for top talent. Professional environment for the most part.

    Cons

All decisions are made by a few individuals at the top and no stock options for anyone below the VP level (including top producers). Culture of micro-management and a strong undercurrent of distrust of employees resulting in disempowerment to get one's job done at times. Some regions are heavily lacking in needed resources to grow. Lots of politics with little to no empowerment given to employees/leaders to make decisions, every decision is a fight or a five page written justification for a simple common sense business decision. Some leaders are 'bullies' for lack of a better word and there is little to no communication/feedback about your performance until they decide to cut costs or that they just don't like you. Processes in place are a nightmare to navigate and often data available is wrong. Your experience at ePlus like anywhere else is heavily dependent on the strength of the manager you report to or the region you work in. Many senior leaders are very arrogant and there is a lot of 'who's the smartest guy in the room' posturing in meetings. There are many weak senior leaders that remain there due to longstanding political relationships more than their leadership skills or abilities. Culture is purely profit driven and expenses are watched excessively close (to keep the stock prices up for the senior leadership). One is either 'in or out' of the political machine that truly runs the company regardless of talent or ability. Watch your back.

    Advice to Management

I was never asked for it while there so don't see any need to start offering it now.....but i will say that there is a big difference between a manager and a true leader. ePlus is full of spreadsheet managers but very few leaders who truly know how to motivate and empower their teams.

    Pros

This is a horse crap company. Management are rude. You feel that Management breathing on your neck the entire time. Its so intimidating and ruthless that there is no place for you opinion as a person. Pay is noncompetitive and underpaying. Shame on this company for not paying above average wages. Be mindful for this company with no candor and insensitive to employee growth.

    Cons

Eliminate insensitive management member. Hire professionals that know how to behave and conduct themselves. Management is mostly high school education....no wonder this type of people breath in an unusual way, derogatory, demeaning, look you down, there is more adjectives you get the idea...

    Advice to Management

Pay more, offer better opportunities, people want to advance but are are scared of the intimidating manager breathing on your neck.Cross train, include fun activities in the office, foster creativity and innovation...

    Pros

Not many. No equity in the company, salary is inadequate, east coast company. They seem to be hoping that Digital Equipment will rise from the grave. Mangled services uses a business model that failed at NEC.

    Cons

Nepotism, terrible management, span of control and lack of vision. More bosses than workers. You are not payed for your work and experience.

    Advice to Management

Get Phil to leave. Restructure to a West coast silicon valley mentality. Get rid of all the ex-NEC execs. Build a real company.

I have been working at ePlus full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Headquarters is in a great location. Tons of options for lunch. HR staff is friendly.

    Cons

Low pay - not competitive at all and does not match stress and responsibilities of job
Management - it's very clear who has received management training and who has not. Crosses boundaries in terms of asking personal questions. Not available when needed. Does not know how to positively motivate staff.
Benefits - not great. They definitely need to gain better medical benefits.

    Advice to Management

Train your managers. Offer better pay for those other than Sales. Management should be onsite, not working from home all the time.

They paid on time and my pay check never bounced! Sales trips are good.

    Cons

All sales groups have a revolving door and sales territories are never enforced.

    Advice to Management

Fix the personnel issues, revolving door and adhere to territories.
