    Pros

Very good company to work for, working to revolutionize finance. The company recently launched in house investment funds that are very successful and has an FCA license in the UK.

Anyone who says it is a scam etc has some sort of grudge to grind for whatever reason.

    Cons

As a startup can be a bit of a crazy place and there is a real mish mash of people. Not sure every employee has the skills needed for a company that has moved to trading to investment management.

    Pros

    Convenient for public transport.

Most junior employees are reasonably friendly and there are opportunities for socializing outside working hours. This can be useful for new olim.

Opportunities to travel for some employees.

    Cons

If you want the satisfaction of doing some good in the world, or even just providing a real product or a genuine service, eToro is definitely not the company for you.

eToro presents itself as a revolutionary ‘social trading’ site, but is essentially an Israeli forex company offering a different spin on CFD pseudo-investments. eToro’s profits (and your salary) are dependent upon the majority of traders losing their money. eToro was refused Israeli licensing, is blacklisted in the US and parts of Canada, and has had other issues with foreign regulators.

If you’re not overburdened with ethical concerns, or urgently need employment, eToro might suit you. The majority of ordinary employees are easy to get along with. Although salaries are below average for Israeli forex companies, the company makes a big production out of hosting happy hours, fun days and similar corporate events for employees.

The private face of the ‘eToro family’ is a management culture that is basically amoral. This creates a working environment in which problems caused by dishonesty, unrestrained ambition, politics – and frequently incompetence – can impact downwards onto junior employees. There are also ugly rumors about eToro HR hushing up cases of sexual harassment and bullying.

eToro is not the worst company in the Israeli pseudo-investments industry and can be a useful stepping stone to better things. People with wider options and more positive goals generally don’t stick around for long though.
