I worked at esure full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Esure have a senior management team with a good outlook and intentions, profit share, 1hr Lunch, good central location, regular incentives

    Cons

Long days, shifts can leave you really tired when often changing, a lot of weekend work. No bank holidays off, ALWAYS a heavy workload, don't get a second to think.. as mentioned above the SMT have good intentions but with the volume of calls it is difficult to progress within the company. Breaks are scheduled at inappropriate times sometimes as they are computer generated.

    Advice to Management

Give employees who want to progress more chance to do so. Recruit more direct staff.

I have been working at esure

    Pros

Friendly, supportive colleagues - was once a fantastic team spirit with motivated staff Profit share, if awarded

    Cons

Nepotism is commonplace. As stated by someone previously, to move teams an interview is required unless you are part of the "in crowd" in which case you can get parachuted in no questions asked. No clarity in terms of what you have to do to progress, no set criteria. Staff hugely unhappy and unfortunately mainly are voting with their feet.

    Advice to Management

Set clear criteria. Seek & act on constructive criticism - exit interviews have been done away with, presumably because they know people are unhappy and don't need to be told. Show transparency regarding recruitment/promotion opportunities. That may be par for the course for the business but I can guarantee that is not the case with Broker.

    I worked at esure

    Pros

profit share if this is awarded

    Cons

1% payrise if you are lucky per year. increased workloads/caseloads always changing goal posts and the way claims are handled so staff constantly struggling to keep up with the esure procedures. terrible system so struggle to do work with tools provided. pressure to hit service level even when under staffed. no progression. have to sit an interview if you want to move teams but if the company wants you to move... you dont. having to write your own monthly and yearly reviews when this should be a team leaders job. overtime only available at weekends. part time employees not paid overtime at same rate as full time employees. external people employed in higher positions when this hasnt been advertised internally. people genuinley ill and sick punished if they have to take time off for the hospital etc and dragged through a capability hearing/disciplinary route.

    Advice to Management

concentrate more on the loyal employees and give people who are part time more opportunities. give more of a payrise as an incentibe to stay.
