    Pros

They offer Great benefits, activities for employees, cafeteria food as extremely low price, friendly environnement. Upper management listen to employees, however new processes slow to put in place.

    Cons

Salary not very high depending which department. Higher once you hit director level. My always open to new ideas or innovation (resistance to change)

I worked at iA Financial Group (More than a year)

    Pros

you can work all over Quebec.
you can choose your own schedule management
you got the chance to meet people all over quebec
good product offered : financial and life insurance

    Cons

income based on commission only. The office want you to sell 1 specific product instead of what the client really need. Because the sales are made under pressure many clients are cancelling their life policy which make the agent loose 100% of the commission. Since the income is 100% commission it make difficult to have a stable income. The turnover is very high

    Advice to Management

Stop pretending that your agents are there to advise the clients and have a great culture. the only thing is important is selling under pressure. Thinking long term would bring a real culture in the company instead of short term view.

    Pros

Excellent vacation time. Benefits just ok. Work, life balance good.

    Cons

Boys club. Don't plan on getting anywhere if you are a female. Male management has it wrapped up.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the biased males controlling the company. Start promoting some women into management positions.

I have been working at iA Financial Group as a contractor

    Pros

they have great product that fit for every one in need of protection and great Financial product too for people who to place there money with us. They give some very good teaching to prepare us and be sure we are well know of all product, so we can give the best service possible.

    Cons

It's sometime very long before the client can have the acceptation for their demand, so sometime client change their mind because they are very unhappy.

    Advice to Management

I would lie to propose one thing, for the number bonus i would put one number bonus per assured Customer per contract. Because sometime it's cheaper for the client to be all on the same contract. But when we do that insted for exemple to count for two in case of a couple, it only count for one so sorry to say that but i found it sad.

    Pros

Fun working environment. Nice people to work with for the most part. A good place to develop skills and gain experience.

    Cons

Very hard to move up or into another department. Pay is below average. If you want to move ahead in your career you might as well look elsewhere.

    Pros

great compensation package with great benefits
    easy work
    nice co-workers

    Cons

very strange working environment what is "infected" by the higher ups in this sales office. They claim open door offices and willing to listen to ideas etc. but as soon as you open your mouth they are pissed and they let you feel that! In that sense they are so unprofessional.

Just a little side note: I just worked for one particular division for IA and my ratings are solely reflecting that one office! Other IA offices might be much nicer, but this is also a con: it's VERY difficult to change divisions to enhance career. I think they like you to stay where you are even if it states something different in job postings. Have been in my position over 2 years now and no sight of doing something else......

    Advice to Management

lighten up your mood and don't pretend to be someone you are not
