I have been working at iA Financial Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This is a great place to work for a few years in Quebec. They have a good incentive plan with insurance and will accomodate you in case of unusual family situation. They are very human and treat people with respect.

    Cons

This is a place where change happens slowly... so slow that you'll get bored before anything new happens. They strive to be LEAN but do not understand how to apply that to a people driven environment. The majority of the decision taking employees have been there upwards of 15 years and have had little to zero experience in other places. This makes for a very stubborn and close minded workplace. To top it off, they do not offer microwave ovens or fridges and there is no restaurants easily accessible. The possibility to bring your own lunch is virtualy inexistant. If you are working at or close to the Head Offices this means your free will regarding your eating habits is controled by the company

    Advice to Management

Let your employee decide what they want to eat by not taing away their free will. Stop living in the past... Dealing finances like you do feels lime ee are still in the 1960's

    Pros

The hours were flexible and there were many benefits at this company. The staff was very friendly and easy to work with.

    Cons

The job was very repetitive and monotonous. Management had high expectations of their employees; they expected that we know all the clauses for each individual group insured by them.

    Advice to Management

people processing the claims should be assigned specific groups in order for them to familiarize themselves with the clauses and therefore avoid making mistakes.
