I worked at iCorps Technologies full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Now that I've successfully moved on and and currently an employee at a firm that actually put people first; I have no pros whatsoever for iCorps. Extremely happy that chapter has closed!

    Cons

Poor communication between management and consultants, Account management and their clients, New York office and Boston office.
401K is a supreme joke making it impossible to save for retirement.
Health benefits are less than mediocre with a lot of our of pocket expenses.
Bonuses have become a thing of the past.
No consideration for employees when life challenges occur.
If weekends are worked there is no compensation or day given in return.
Pay is docked if you take days outside of available PTO .

    Advice to Management

Value your employees. If a consultant works a weekend give him/her personal days in return. These days can be used if an employee is outbid PTO days instead of docking their pay.

    Cons

employees are treated horribly, expected to sit in the office and not talk to others if you don't have a client to go to, work/life balance not there, revolving door of employees

    Pros

Some decent employees, but they are all in the same boat.

    Cons

It is the petty dictatorship of a sole individual. The negative reviews are correct. Life is too short to deal with people like the CEO of this company.

    Pros

There were some good people (all of whom have left). The clients can occasionally be interesting, but are sometimes nightmare. Some career opportunities if you're okay with selling your soul.

    Cons

There are so many reviews, and they've already said a lot. The most important part: DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. By the end of the contract, you'll have wished they fired you.

Each of the negatives is true: TERRIBLE management, poor life/work balance, awful communication, treating customer and employees poorly. This is the type of place that leaves fake reviews.

The last thing I'll say is that this is one of the least pleasant places I have ever worked. Coming in to the office felt like a march to the guillotine. The atmosphere of the office feels like everyone is waiting to be screamed at by upper management. If you really need money this might be an okay place to work, but be prepared to sacrifice your happiness for it.

    Advice to Management

Sell the business before you finish running it into the ground.

I worked at iCorps Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay is ok. Some of the other consultants are nice. Generally other consultants are appreciative if you help out their clients. Most of the office staff is very nice.

    Cons

If you are a consultant don't give notice when you are quitting until you are actually ready to leave. Once you give your notice they will make you leave right away even though they ask for 3 weeks notice. In order to get the full bonus you have to average 100% + billable time which is nearly impossible to do if you take vacation time. If you are doing staff augmentation you will never hear from the office unless it's to go to a mandatory meeting at night. Didn't offer sick days until it law was passed making it mandatory.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees like they are more than just a number of billable hours. Allow working from home when appointments are cancelled or not scheduled.

    Pros

Good for a first job to break into the field.

    Cons

Typical revolving door MSP. They paint a big picture and then 2-3 months EXPECT IT. Not enough work in NYC ignore all said efforts. EXPECT IT. Good reviews management writes. Management is snake oil. RUN unless you only need 2 months. You've been warned.

    Advice to Management

Stop turning over engineer's. It makes you look bad.. clients said and I agree

    Cons

-management is not very good and can be careless at times
-upper management likes "to party" and encourage that type of behavior
    -you cannot socialize with co-workers
-when you start you will wonder why everyone is so unhappy. Work for 2 weeks and you will understand

I worked at iCorps Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

well. some people are nice, but after about 1 month of working there, they all turn cold and heartless.
if you get laid off you can collect.

    Cons

401K is deceiving. The company makes a deposit in your account 1x per year, and keeps the accrued interest.
Women: as you know most men in the IT industry are sexist and demeaning. this company is NO different....watch out!!!!
office environment of FEAR!!! see Jack Welch at GE! No one is safe
Constant lay offs - 50 people or less max at all times - in one year 10 people left/laid off/fired.
No future planning. New office space with limited sq to grow....but yet there's 'plans' to grow by XX%??!!!
Utilization meetings are weekly to determine if you are being utilized over the 70% threshold. If not there's a good chance you may be laid off soon.
Consultants are asked to upsell the clients to other services. This should be a sales job.
Ask about turnover rate for admin staff - OTHER than executives - see admin assistants, HR reps, marketing, receptionist, sales reps - Accounting and operations steady.
Do an extensive search on LinkedIn to see how many people have been in and out of the company within a year.
Upper management has a bulldog type mentality.
some top executives go out to questionable establishments during work hours
No communication between executives and rest of staff. Top executives hold onto key information and its not told to employees

Don't get sick....there are No sick days. You WILL LOSE pay!
Don't come in 10-15 minutes late within a month, you will docked for 1/2 day Unplanned PTO.
Drinking in the name of team morale and social harmony....Events in the afternoon and evening revolve around drinking which will affect your work habits.
    To Summarize:
Go on an interview and ask about: 401K, office environment, drinking, employee turnover (except for Accounting/Operations), uppper managment philosophy and Jack Welch leadership style, attendance, and ask what they think is lacking there....
I would NEVER recommend someone to work there.....EVER!!!!

    Advice to Management

    Why are you so heartless?
