I worked at iDirect Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The amount of knowledge that you gain from iDirect is unbeaten.

    Cons

Lack of vision from Upper management, Lack of vision from management, Management missteps, poor strategic direction, lots of management frustration at the leadership level.
Lots of people are leaving, people who have Great product knowledge, that are replaced with lower quality people.

    Advice to Management

Become less quarterly revenue driven and seek to grow company for the long run through a strategic VISION, not reactive scrambling to try and hit the quarterly numbers. Current behavior resembles a company trying to stay afloat instead of a company driving an industry.
There are lots of people in senior positions that don't know how to treat people. You should get them some Management coaching/training. If you don't more people will leave and it will only be a matter of time before new people see it. It's hard not to see it, but maybe you have blinders because they are best friends or great at “Brown Nosing”

I worked at iDirect Technologies (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Highly advanced in technologies, reasonable benefits, fitness center, cafeteria, tennis. Equal opportunities place. Aggressive "never to make" schedules. Working through nights quite possible.

    Cons

Lack of vision from management, somewhat too bureaucratic. Some architectural solutions are overcomplicated therefore difficult to maintain or improve. Friendly atmosphere.

    Advice to Management

Probably the ratio managers engineers is too high. Be more proactive in making important decisions and taking responsibilities. Do not assume employees are obligated to work long hours.
