Uhhhh......well Maybe get paid a small fee for service in 2 to 3 months. Apparently good at defending against lawsuits as IMS has many to answer many complaints that have been filed.

Prior to joining the iMortgage appraiser panel, I had read multiple complaints on appraiser forums regarding the awful customer service and payment schedule. Luckily, I joined this AMC disregarding the negative comments. As it turns out, this company has been one of my most consistent AMC's and I haven't had a single issue with their customer service or unnecessary requests regarding my appraisal reports, which is rare these days with AMC's.

Cons

None. The biggest complaint I've seen based on peers in the industry is that iMortgage is unfair with their payment methods based on how long it takes to actually receive a check which may come 50-60 days after the report is completed. Although this is not the norm in the industry, it is made perfectly clear to prospective appraisers how the pay period works. I can't understand why any appraiser would complain about the length of payment AFTER reading the terms & conditions of the contract signed with iMortgage. It's simple...if you are unwilling to wait an extended period of time for your check, DON'T accept orders! I've had nothing but positive experiences with this company and they are EXTREMELY consistent with paying my appraisal fees.

Pros

No industry knowledge needed, they'll teach you everything you need to know and to be honest this information in extremely valuable when buying real estate in your personal life.

Cons

The largest downside of working for this organization at the time was the senior management were all personal friends of the CEO. Many of these individuals lacked the management experience to hold their positions, this was reflected in their decision making. It should be noted that shortly after I left the company the ownership shifted (One partner bought out the other). After this shift 90% of the senior management was let go and those positions were consolidated or eliminated. I recommend taking all reviews (mine included) prior to 2016 with a grain of salt.

Worst place to for, if your not a favorite of supervisor or management then you are nobody. Stay Away!!!! The language of some employees is very vulgar, also a lot of whispering with employees and their supervisor.
