I worked at iRise full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    There really were no pros.

    Cons

    This place is a zoo.

    Advice to Management

Support your people more. Get off of your "wanting to be the cool kid" soapbox and really listen and respect your people and not just the folks you like or have a personal connection with outside of the office. Please get a FULL SCALE diversity training program in place for your managers and many of the workers as well. Learn to respect others who are different and not box them into your preconceived notions of what you think they are. You'd be surprised at the hidden gems you have ready and willing to work with you collectively.

    Pros

Hope that everyone will get what they deserve... and that's lots of good stuff. Great concept for this type of requirements management software. Onward...

    Cons

Was driving by the Rosecrans location a few days ago. I saw that the iRise listing is no longer on the marquee in front of the Rosecrans building. The current iRise address in the building is "#100". Might be a mailbox.

    Advice to Management

If you get an offer... SELL.

I have been working at iRise full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

People are awesome, some of the brightest, most creative people you'll work around

    Cons

Direction of the company is not clear, management does not communicate thoroughly. Always a question of layoffs

    Advice to Management

Better communication, more insight into what's going on with the company. Corporate direction needs to be prominently displayed to employees.

    I worked at iRise full-time

    Pros

It's a great product, the people were nice enough for the most part, and there were some nice perks.

    Cons

The egos of upper and middle-management were out-of-control... every week there was some type of panic about something. Hired some people who were not correct for the environment.

    Advice to Management

How much longer can you hold on?

I have been working at iRise full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Used to be one of the best environments to work in. The energy was great and your co-workers used to be super smart.

    Cons

Used to be is the key word here. Now it is only a shell of it's former self. Now the only constant at iRise are layoffs, they always seem to be round the corner.

    Advice to Management

Management has poor vision. After all these years they still don't know who their target customers are. Management also made some poor strategy decisions by investing in the wrong key players.

I have been working at iRise full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

When I first started iRise many years ago, it had a true "start up" mentality. Voices mattered and hard work was acknowledged. Lots of support for company bonding and the energy was great with open-door policy. The energy and appreciation fed into my drive to do whatever was asked of me and more.

    Cons

Had to fight tooth and nail for growth opportunities. As years passed, it felt as though I was slowly getting underappreciated which reflected in compensation to market value.
