I have been working at ifm Efector full-time

    Pros

    excellent benefits.
smart changes in sales structure the past year should help the company going forward.
Most people are friendly and easy to work with,.
Not too stressful, but presents fun challenges.

    Cons

    Sales incentives are poorly structured.
way behind on technology, we can't even use tablets or connect our phones to get customer data. Its a pain to drag around a laptop.
behind on current business practices, for instance, with the exception of sales, no one can work from home or remotely.
Some key positions are held by people who have just been with the company a long time, not because they are good at their jobs.

    Advice to Management

Reevaluate some of the top positions. If these positions were open now, would you hire the existing people?

I have been working at ifm Efector full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Rewarding for those who are willing to try new things. They take great care of their employees with benefits and perks. The work is engaging, and you can take on as much as you can handle.

    Cons

Advancement can be difficult. Management can be over extended, stretched out at times. Sometimes comprehension of issues at the associate level are overlooked or misinterpreted.

    Advice to Management

Ask entry level more about what they think the issues are. Sometimes solutions are implemented without a full understanding of the issue because those who experience the issue every day were not consulted.

I worked at ifm Efector full-time

    Pros

    Good, friendly environment
Flat management (only 1-2 levels between lowest employees and CEO)
    Interesting work

    Cons

Lot of people have been at ifm for long time and don't want to shake things up and try out new things.

    Advice to Management

Keep up what you're doing, fight to keep the low amount of red tape and bureaucracy as low as it is.

I worked at ifm Efector full-time

    Pros

Great coworkers, dedication to customers, environmentally conscious, everyone really cares about their job and doing it well. Overall very nice place to work

    Cons

Location is pretty out of the way, there's pretty much nothing around. Sometimes management was a bit adverse to change

    Advice to Management

Management varied depending on the department, overall communication could be improved across the board. Things were often confusing as not everyone was on the same page. Also some changes overall could be made to improve perhaps starting there

I worked at ifm Efector full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good company culture. Excellent training for both technical and sales training. Products and technology are very good. Management listens to employees for the most part and tries to do what's right. Lots of talented people here...

    Cons

Slow to develop new products, but when released they are ready for market and industry leading. Growing company is loosing some of it's family-like culture. Starting to get heavy on the analytics.

    Advice to Management

Understand how you achieved dedicated long term employees. Very conservative in decision making , so a little more risk taking could yield returns.
