    Cons

Those who are are at the bottom of hierarchical chart, it's tough to get a promotion. Those who work for years - don't get promoted. They don't provide summer hours, though other dept's provide it...Not at all flexible with remoting from home, or taking a vacation, or even a sick day. If one day off is taken(that's stated in company policy), we cannot be at peace, as still have to check email or deal with manager next day. Other than work, work, work, there is no motivation..
Life gets retarded. NO PROMOTION, though you deserve it...
(Now, don't want anyone to contact me for this truthful review)

    Advice to Management

Mgmt creates new levels for managers, but no opportunity for low level people in team to grow...NO PROMOTION...Other than a yearly blood drive, and a charity raffle, and a yearly icecream/bbq, there is no other ACTIVITY/FUN in company..In other dept's, people do get promoted...This is the only dept, where employees are even scared to ask about it.....And even if we ask, we don't get it....One of the mgr, even yells, as if we are not colleagues..
Unless you ask, you won't get appreciated..Perks don't flow from high to bottom - whether it's client lunch or anything else...Managers take the credit, without passing it down...They forget that it's the whole team who does the job, not just them...
    Career growth: 0
Work life balance: Be smart enough to handle it

I worked at inVentiv Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Variety of things going on - many different opportunities exist as it is a pretty vast operation.

    Cons

Sometimes it feels like chaos is the strategy. All the focus is on the client with very little on employees.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on employees. There are lots of good people who are looking to leave - give them a reason to stay!

I have been working at inVentiv Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, salary, work life balance(is in your hands)

    Cons

There are employees who worked for around 10 yrs and still no promotions.

    Advice to Management

Some depts. are flexible with work from home. Some of them are not. If you take a wfh, the next day manager might get upset. Even if I have worked for more than 3 yrs, no promotion. Manager doesn't provide career advancement opportunities. Even if I had performed well and tried my best, didn't get promoted. Even if I belong to bottom bottom most level, they once said that it's not easy to create a Sr level position. Well, they did create levels for other job descriptions though. Too strict in my dept with NO career growth.
There are some depts. where there is career growth though. Not rating the Sen Mgmt 5 as they didn't provide promotion.

I have been working at inVentiv Health (More than a year)

    Pros

Very simple job that is relatively easy and simple to learn. Allowed to listen to music while working (big plus for me). Was a fantastic part-time/temp. job to earn some money during High School/early years of college.

    Cons

I really do not have any cons, to be honest.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing.

    Pros

Projects are contract based. Mine is a very stable 4 year contract.

    Cons

Little investment in employees. You have to be proactive about networking and even then it is very difficult to move up in the company.

    Advice to Management

Create more opportunities for growth in the call center. There are highly intelligent and motivated people there who are willing and able to do more.
