I worked at inVentiv Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Organized and well mannered. Good network for future contract opportunities. Benefits are standard, as for most of the Pharma Companies, although the basic salary is bellow the average. Still, there is 401K, paid vacation, company car, fuel card etc.

    Cons

Basic salary not in the same bracket as major Pharma outfits. Not much hope for upward carrier progress. Contracts are cut unexpectedly

    Advice to Management

Not mush to be said here. Room for the advancement are almost 0, unless perhaps one wants to work at the HQ in NJ. My personal manager was a top guy.

    Pros

The hiring process is simple and fast, fair salary and good benefits.

    Cons

inVentiv is all about their customer (especially if you work for them on contract). Once they want you out, the will find every way to get you out. They will not work with you to help you.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. You are losing great talent.

    Pros

Variety of things going on - many different opportunities exist as it is a pretty vast operation.

    Cons

Sometimes it feels like chaos is the strategy. All the focus is on the client with very little on employees.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on employees. There are lots of good people who are looking to leave - give them a reason to stay!

I have been working at inVentiv Health (More than a year)

    Pros

Great Contracts. Great Managers. Good health benefits.

    Cons

Poor Communication from upper level management. Empty promises, do not stand by their words or commitments. Extremely disorganized. They do not protect their sales force in Contracts, they protect their own money.

    Advice to Management

Standy by your commitments. Better communication with sales force. Protect your sales force. Avoiding answering phone calls or emails is not the right way to run a business. You do not stand by your culture or values. You speak a good game, but fail to uphold what you speak.

    Pros

inVentiv has a ton of contract opportunities. They stand behind their employees to offer other avenues if by chance a contract was to end.

    Cons

Some contracts do not allow their sales representatives to apply for other opportunities within inVentiv that may be available with other contracts.

    Pros

If your contract rolls over great way to get into pharmaceutical sales. Received great severance package and had a great team to work with.

    Cons

Health Insurance is sub par. Could be a layoff at anytime. No room for advancement. Say they want to retain people when contract ends but have no direction for employees when that happens

    Advice to Management

Let the employees know if they would be rehired if a contract ends

    Pros

Great place to get started in your career. Good benefits and perks of a Pharma job.

    Cons

Not many company holidays in comparison to big companies. Not too many complaints thus far.

    Advice to Management

Continue to encourage your employees so that you can retain the top talent. I've seen many great reps leave because of your bottom dollar.

    Advice to Management

Need to get better recruiters. Don't make promises you can't keep.
