I have been working at inhouseIT full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The Good - the office. Close to the airport, near all major freeways, nice TV's on the wall, clean bathroom and not far from the beach.

    Cons

The Bad - Leadership. That's not even fair to call the group at inhouseIT leaders. They are all managers and not very good ones. They are there to instill fear and try and control the staff with lies, false promises and carrots on strings.

    Advice to Management

Less about you, more about us.

I worked at inhouseIT full-time for less than a year

    Pros

With hundreds of unique environments to support you get your hands dirty right way and are challenged pretty much everyday - this keeps the mind sharp and experience gain quick. It is a great place to start your career as you can gain a lot of knowledge very quickly and are always supported by more knowledgable guys (Chuck is awesome and always willing to help). Management is great as well, at least at the VP level -...

The fact that they have to monetize time can become a little stressful for employees but that is understood and explained at the very beginning. Management is really easy going so that helps.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and treat your mgmt team well (Bob, Garret and Brad).

I worked at inhouseIT full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There seems to very strong collaboration between the executive staff. They can be seen meeting regularly behind closed doors. I mean VERY regularly. To the point that nothing else gets done. Bravo!

    Cons

Do yourself a favor and read through these reviews very carefully. You will see a common theme. The negative reviews share the same story. Poor treatment to the staff. Poor pay. Ridiculous expectations in hours. Everyone afraid for their job. These are the facts. I got out of there as fast I could. Those that are left, that have been there for several years, are cynical about their jobs and the company, or have an exit...

Fire all the Exec's and start over. On second thought. Take the Middle out too. The infection seems to have spread.

    Pros

Not much I can say that is positive. Some good people.

    Cons

They tell you one thing but in the long run, if you don't "drink the kool-aide" they dismiss you. The current director of PM is not knowledgeable about systems. They have lost too many good people.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff and boost morale.

I worked at inhouseIT full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Smaller Company. You can feel like you make a difference/have the opportunity to make a difference if you apply yourself. Lots of nice co-workers who were more than willing to teach.

    Cons

inhouseIT is dishonest on multiple levels and occasions. Looking back now I realize just how unethical this company was ran. I was terminated for blowing a whistle about them not correctly paying overtime. and because when blew the whistle that they were improperly billing somebody for 10+ years, and now that client needed the service they had been paying for, it wasn't activated the first thing the director said to me...

    Advice to Management

Please seek professional help, and not just take the lowest bidder. It would be wise to invest in an Organizational Behavior specialist that could help your company with the Ethic issues it greatly has. You need a reboot on Management, but unfortunately I feel that it's not even managements fault, the attitude and ethics all roll down hill from the CEO's of this company as it is a small company.

    I worked at inhouseIT

    Pros

In my time at inhouseIT I was able to garner a great deal of technical and leadership experience. The projects were extremely varied and coming up with creative, unique solutions was required. I loved this part of it. I was exceedingly good at my job and was compensated with complete control of my time and schedule, which I appreciated. I did notice during my time there that I was one of the very few people who was treated...

    Cons

The fear of upper management never made sense to me, but it should have. As I look back I realize that even more perplexing than the fear of management was the ridiculously high turnover. People seemed to get fired every week for no reason. I was always assured that there was a good reason, but was never given one. I was let go during the Nuvotera lay-off and true to form they gave excuses for the layoff, but not very...

    I worked at inhouseIT full-time

    Pros

Never a dull moment, always busy, but that's usually due to a fire that wasn't put out properly before , or a client being promised something by someone who doesn't actually do the work, wondering why they didn't get it. It's sort of a pro if you wanna look at it that way.

    Cons

This company demands total and complete allegiance, and some are expected to offer such allegiance 24/7. This is not uncommon in the IT game, but often such personnel are left as sole guardians and often cannot count on help from management to get in the game until 6am or later. I've read more than one email thread where someone was reported to be 'off the grid', which isn't the wisest thing to tell a client. If...

I worked at inhouseIT full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The only pro is that I am no longer there. You may say there must be a pro. After what I went through, I really cannot find one. No severance pay, no training, not a good salary. I am trying as hard as I can to find a pro. Parking is easy?

    Cons

The lies from management top the list. They are all out to cut each others head off and they use everyone around them to that end. They will make you look like a fool to push their own agenda. And each manager has their own way of doing things and they each hate one another. The work is what it is. But they way to do it makes me want to pull my hair out. No consistency and they tell you one thing but then when someone...

I have been working at inhouseIT full-time for less than a year

    Pros

On my first day I was asked to write a review here. So here are my impressions after a very short time. Nice office, nice people. Many things to learn. Bathrooms are nice and it is a stand-alone office so no worries about the next door tenants coming in and leaving toxic waste in our bathroom.

    Cons

This is going to sound strange but the way the toilet paper breaks so easily. I am not sure if it is just super cheap paper or of the dispenser needs attention. I get maybe 2 squares then it breaks. I find I must be very careful to get the right amount of paper to unroll to be useful. Free cowboy hats? What does that mean?

    Advice to Management

After reading the comments here I can only ask that the promises be kept. This seems like a nice place, I hope it does not become what everyone else says it is. I read the reviews before I accepted the position, I just hope they are not true.
