I worked at inhouseIT full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The clients are well adjusted, reasonable and professional.

    Cons

Lack of career path/development for engineers, and a top heavy management team. High turnover with 6 VPs and only a handful of engineers. It is easy to see where the paycheck deficit lies in terms of engineer and support staff compensation. The CEO has and will lecture you on how fortunate you are to work for him and that he is CEO Jesus. Management does not have client best interest and will continually try and sell...

    Advice to Management

Promote from within. Develop a mentoring program to develop field engineers into IT Directors and give employees incentive to learn and teach. Extract the management ballast. Replace Ackerman with a real CEO who values employees with actions instead of half smiles and false promises.

I worked at inhouseIT full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

You will definitely learn a lot working here. I excelled vastly in my career working here. You are basically the guy if you are a Field Engineer/IT Manager (the title changes frequently) You don't really have much of a team to escalate to (could be a con to some) but you are forced to figure out issues at your clients. To me that's a pro because it forced me to learn. When I started and when I left I learned sooo much!...

    Cons

-High turn around -Such a top heavy company -The some how seem to ignore laziness of co-workers -Be prepared to carry the slack -No raises unless you threaten to leave -A lot of people are just burnt out -Nothing proactive about this company, be ready to be putting out fires daily -Zero training provided by the company -No accountability, quick to throw a employee under the bus for the image of the company

    Advice to Management

Get your head out of your you know what, you don't need 4 VP's to run a company of 60-80 people. I wish the very top would take a good look at the management staff and what they really do. I can tell you 2 people who could/should be canned and save that company about 400k a year in wasted salary and paying for mistakes caused by these two guys. The mistakes I watched these two guys make over the years anyone at a large...

I have been working at inhouseIT full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

This organization embraces the entrepreneurial spirit and collectively very much cares about the customer experience! The CEO and management staff embrace integrity, communication and shared accountability. I have never worked for an organization where I had as much influence and control over my own destiny as I do here.

    Cons

This is not a company for the shy. If you are a good communicator you will love inhouseIT! If you are a person of integrity that likes to own a situation and resolve it you will have no issues. Leadership rewards those in the organization that truly care about clients and the associates at inhouseIT.

I have been working at inhouseIT full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great coworkers and management. Lots of room for learning new skills and for personal growth. Very collaborative environment working to provide excellent customer service. Skills and abilities you bring to the company outside of what you were hired for are also valued and used, which can be rare. Management is good about offering additional opportunities as you grow in your skill set and also in recognizing when you've...

    Cons

IT as an industry is very fast paced, so if that's not your thing, this would be a con. There are usually a huge number of things going on at any given time, and it can be a lot to keep track of at once if you don't multitask well.

I have been working at inhouseIT full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Excellent culture, management is a pleasure to work for. The staff is fill of friendly and helpful individuals, there is room for growth, good benefits that start at the beginning of the following month after being hired (even if hired on the 31st), and they have really flexible schedules. Great place to work with plenty of opportunity!

    Cons

Not much to complain about so far except there is no 401k matching benefit.

    Advice to Management

    401k plans might be improved.

I have been working at inhouseIT full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I am new to inhouseIT. The onboarding process was very efficient and professional. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Benefits are great. Management seems to stand firmly behind the employees. Customer focus is primarily small to mid-size clientele. Executive management has a very well articulated vision to help their clients migrate to the cloud. I am confident that inhouseIT is where I will invest the rest of my career.

    Cons

None have become evident yet. I have only been here a short time.

I worked at inhouseIT full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Management is very engaged with the Community, giving back through Philanthropy. Integrity is #1.

    Cons

When I was there, there was still two cultures merging, so my statements of any negatives wouldn't be fully transparent.

    Advice to Management

Have been gone too long to make any recommendations. The reason I left was my responsibility, and Management did the right thing. I'm sorry it happened to me, but the right decision was made.

I worked at inhouseIT full-time for less than a year

    Pros

They have a good coffee maker.

    Cons

Very Clique management. Not willing to communicate. Lots of promises but no delivery. Hire and fire at will. No loyalty to staff. No clear direction provided

    Advice to Management

You need to start treating your staff as an asset not a commodity. You say you want change but will neither endorse or deliver on change. The inability to commit to a decision means that the staff lack direction and are confused. The evidence suggests that the executive do not welcome individuals prepared to work on their own initiative. The sad thing is that with proper leadership it could be a great company...
