I worked at inlingua International for more than a year

    Pros

Flexibility. Diversity. Multi-level/student experience. If you can find a school that teaches group classes, you may possibly have consistent work.

    Cons

You will find moments in which you have no income so prepare for it (even with group class schedules). Although pay isn't great you get pay increases and workshops that earn you bonuses and opportunity to teach other materials ( standardized ESL exams). Also each school has its own director so experience varies school to school.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps one day have certain teachers on as employees rather than as freelancers.

I have been working at inlingua International for more than 5 years

    Pros

A good way to get your F-1 visa.

    Cons

    The worst course materials ever!

    Advice to Management

Reward and respect "your backbone" - teachers.

I worked at inlingua International for less than a year

    Pros

Offeres many F-1 Visa Students to stay in the US while showing up 70% of the school enrollment; gives them a chance to put up their kids in Florida schools. A true haven for International CEO’s executives.

    Cons

The management will bend over backwards to keep these students even if they fail the same course. They will make sure these failing students (some of them working online while being on F-1 visa) move on to the next level. The teachers who are independent contractors have no rights. their opinion and qualifications don’t matter.

    Advice to Management

Follow the rules set out to your language school by the US Department of State Security. Establish educational standards. Offer your teachers better financial compensation. Reevaluate your teaching materials so that they are geared to the real life in the United States ---- not some artificial business language that no one uses. Take “North Star” language training programs as a standard, or come up with even better materials.

I worked at inlingua International for more than a year

    Pros

The benefits of being a contractor for inlingua in Ecuador is the flexibility.

    Cons

The downside of working for inlingua in Ecuador is the low wages. The inlingua centers are franchises that are not well managed, not exactly up to what one would expect from a Swiss company.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your contractors well.

I have been working at inlingua International full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I’m an English Language instructor at Pitampura branch of Inlingua. It is a great working place. Along with learning, teaching at Inlingua is also a fun experience. The teaching process at Inlingua has been helping me grow as a teacher. Every session includes developing new ways of making the learning process simple, so that the students can master the language.

    Cons

No cons that are making my journey at Inlingua hard!

    Advice to Management

Please make an arrangement for the staff get-togethers.

I worked at inlingua International full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I enjoyed the work environment and found the staff supportive and friendly. The company has franchises all over the world so I worked in South Africa and India and the teaching methodology is consistent which is helpful.

    Cons

Salary is low for the effort you put in and the experience and qualifications many teachers have. There is definitely room for more creativity too.

    Advice to Management

Most employees enjoy the work and want to commit to the company long-term but the income is not sustainable (if you have a family, want to save, go on international holidays).
