I have been working at inlingua International for less than a year

    Pros

Gain experience that you can use in another job that can provide benefits. Tutors have flexible hours and you can work anywhere. My center has a really nice director and administrator.

    Cons

Absolutely no benefits, absolutely no job security, and you're not even considered an employee. If you need to pay bills, don't get this job. If you are retired and want something to do in your free time and maybe a little extra money, this might work for you.

    Advice to Management

Teachers are disposable to you, but isn't it expensive hiring new teachers all the time? If you give benefits, more people will stick around.

  2. "ESL Teacher"

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at inlingua International full-time

    Pros

Clientele is good. Nice centers to work in. Professional settings. Good way to accrue experience. Flexible hours. Fairly responsive management.

    Cons

Underpaid. System software platforms need updating. Teachers are pressured into certain situations. Very high turnover takes away from the company culture.

    Advice to Management

Invest more in your teacher's development. Be more in tune with the needs and wants of your students. Increase teacher pay.

I worked at inlingua International for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible hours, friend management and students. Very little planning needed, as all is provided in training pack. Pay is relatively high for ESOL teachers.

    Cons

Pay could be higher depending on qualifications and experience. Many classes with private students are only once or twice a week, and students can cancel anytime with prior notice, leaving teacher payless.

    Advice to Management

You should consider paying more so you keep better teachers and there is less turnover of teachers. This is not good for your image.

    I worked at inlingua International

    Pros

They give you some liberties to teach when you are available. Very flexible hours and good ongoing training.

    Cons

If they do not call you with classes, you do not work.

    Advice to Management

Make sure instructors are able to get classes when hired or at least get called about time availability more often so as to makensure contact.
