      Pros

      - Kind, engaging, and challenging employees - No micromanaging, your success is in your own hands - Ability to communicate with all the levels of the company, your though makes a difference - Snacks that go on forever

      Cons

      - Very dynamic workplace, always changing, very fast paced- some may not enjoy it

        Pros

        - Great people and culture making a comfortable working environment - Creating exciting innovative products within financial services - Employs holacracy which promotes a flat organization, flexibility to work on what you want and decentralized decision making - Diverse workforce with people coming from financial services, startups, consulting firms, etc. - Lots to learn! Based on the above (innovative products, wide range of skills, flexibility to work on what you want) - Fast growing company that already has a global presence (New York, London, Singapore) - Flexible vacation policy and remote work policy

        Cons

        - Startup environment (like any startup) can be challenging at times - Holacracy is a major part of governance and how day-to-day work is done. This is not a con in itself, but as an employee you will need to train up and blend into the holocratic system, which differs from traditional governance/operating structures

          Pros

This is a great company to work for! I've had such a good experience here so far. The current engineers are all very knowledgable and also willing to learn new things. The CTO, CEO, COO, etc. are all very available and help out when they can. The technology they use is all modern and can be switched with good enough reasons.

          Cons

It gets a little cold sometimes but otherwise nothing terrible! It is in the middle of grand central so lots of foot traffic getting to and from work.

            Pros

itBit is an exciting place to work. itBit works with cutting edge bitcoin and blockchain based technologies and the company's lean mentality means there is always a lot going on. The office environment is very open and there are lots of smart and interesting people who work here.

            Cons

Not many downsides. May not be for people who prefer working in a slower paced workplace and/or with a more traditional hierarchical company structure.

              Pros

I work with some of the smartest people I've ever met. The people here are hard-working, motivated and genuinely like each other. It also says a lot that a small, growing startup was willing to adopt Holacracy at such a young age. It shows investment in its people and the courage to try new things.

              Cons

Sometimes expectations aren't clearly defined and expressed prior to projects starting, which inevitably leads to disappointment. I think there could be more of a focus on building people and talent from the ground up.

                Pros

itBit runs on a great, diverse group of people with ambitious goals in a burgeoning industry. The culture strikes a nice balance between emphasizing a high standard for excellence and encouraging camaraderie amongst colleagues. Sleek, modern, and high-tech office. Stacked kitchen with an endless supply of coffee and frequently replenished fresh fruit.

                Cons

The office can get a bit chilly at times, so it’s always a safer bet to come with a sweatshirt ready.

                  Cons

Fast paced and you will be doing a million things at once, fun for some people but it may not be a good fit for everyone

                      1. What to do if you cannot provide your manager or other leaders as references from your previous workplace? 2. How to answer interview Qs about my previous workplace or manager? For the context! I worked for a workplace for 8-9 months. But, there were ethical issues from the side of leaders including my manager, and senior employees that made me quit my job. Also, many leaders & senior coworkers were either fired or quit their jobs a few months after I did. Thanks in advance!

Has anyone ever been called back for a job they were first rejected from only to be rejected again? Does this happen often?

During the first screening interview I have been asked at times about my job search status and if I am talking to others. While this is probably a question they have no right to ask, I wonder if there is a right or wrong answer. If I say I am interviewing with 2-3 companies, they may feel it is not worth the extra effort to continue the discussion. If I say I am not actively interviewing, it may be a negative sign. Any idea about where they are coming from? (WFH & free agent for a while)
