I worked at iwoca for less than a year

    Pros

The people, the culture, the common goal, the opportunities you get, the "real" growth mindset, amazing office with table football, pool, ping pong and on top of that travelling... The feeling of "home" even though you are at work. I could go on like this forever.

    Cons

Recruitment process is not really structured and takes ages.

    Advice to Management

    Keep on being so awesome!

I worked at iwoca for less than a year

    Pros

Although my stay at iwoca was pretty short since I only did a summer-internship there, I was given the feeling of being part of the iwoca-family from day 1. I could approach the team with any questions I had, as often as I wanted and was helped immediately. I was surprised how interesting and challenging the tasks were, which they gave me and I finally had an opportunity to grow within an internship and gain more work-experience....

    Cons

I honestly cannot think of anything negative.

    Advice to Management

I thought it was great that all members of the company shared an office - from me, little summer intern, up to the CEO. This gave me the feeling of being of importance to the company and that I was just as able to contribute to iwoca's success. The management should keep this spirit!

I have been working at iwoca full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Full of very smart people to work with. The atmosphere's busy and hardworking, but with a startup vibe - beers on a Friday and eating lunch together. Awesome benefits including heavily discounted gym. I've learnt a lot in a very short space of time and there's plenty of opportunity to expand your role if you're willing to put the time in.

    Cons

Don't expect too much training when you start out. The comprehensive hiring process means if you're there, they know you can handle the job, so you'll have to dive straight in! Everyone works hard, so expect to put in a lot of hours.

    Advice to Management

As the company grows, it's going to be hard to maintain the startup atmosphere. This is a hugely important part of what makes working for iwoca great! Encouraging people from different teams to mingle and get to know each other will help with this.

I worked at iwoca full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I worked two years at iwoca. During this time I've seen the company grow from an early stage startup with just 7 employees to a team of 30 strong. I had an amazing time there, both from a professional and personal point of view and I think it's a great place to work. The company offers flexible working hours, a centrally-located office, plenty of office perks (table tennis, pool table, great coffee, beer and fun people...

    Cons

It quite a pressurised environment, so not the right place to work if you don't handle pressure well. The competitiveness is not in between employees, on the contrary the team is terrific and there's a great team spirit, but the company depends on everyone's individual efforts so you are supposed to deliver fast and a lot. They won't allow slack. The ratio between women and men tends strongly towards the latter, but...
