I worked at kgb deals full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Work from home, outside sales, paid mileage, they give you an Ipad.

    Cons

Paperwork like you wouldn't believe.... about 200 questions you need to answer for each deal sold. Learn everything from online tutorials which can be time consuming to start, nobody to really call for help, left on your own to the always busy tech desk.

    Advice to Management

Change of Mgt too much. Make sure your newbies know the rules, get acquainted before a month has gone by. I didn't meet anybody in person for 2 weeks after starting. My 9 yr old son showed me how to use the Ipad

I have been working at kgb deals (More than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers were great to work with, very supportive and actively tried to hit company goals.

    Cons

New direct manager was brought in and took Retail Specialists in a very different direction- helped guide the downward spiral to obscurity before company dissolved.

    Advice to Management

Tough market dominated by Groupon and Living Social. Being #3 wasn't enough to sustain company.

    Pros

Can make decent money. Informal dress dress code. Upper management in same office.

    Cons

New company, feeling out process and WAY too much turn-over, office turned over twice in one year, saw four new National VP.s in one year.

    Advice to Management

Communicate effectively what you are looking for. Clear focus. HIre qualified lower managers not kids

I worked at kgb deals part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I like being able to work from home and having set shifts. I like that the money is better than ChaCha. It's more structured and the answers are better for asking serious questions and getting accurate answers.

    Cons

THey cut me off for a reason I have since forgotten but I would continue to work there if they hadn't cut off my account.

    Advice to Management

Let ex-employees sign up to work again easier.

I worked at kgb deals full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Laid back atmosphere
Flexible with your use of PTO time
    No weekends

    Cons

    No Management
No Training at all. You are left to figure it out
Sales staff does things their own way and there is no structure or correct way to do things
    Cold calling 100%
Extremely hard to get deals published unless you are best friends with Publishing Head
Fired last 10 people to be hired as of 9-25-12 saying it was a cost cutting measure to afford new DVP.
Every 6 months fires bulk of staff for no reason
    Not a long term position

    Advice to Management

    Get a training program
Get managers who show up for work every day and that can actually manage people
Give people more than a few months before firing them wthout regard

    Pros

Not a desk job. Some decent people. Great benefits. Decent Base Salary.

    Cons

Horrible and Incompetent Managers. The people who run the company are completely irrational. Terrible work/life balance. Do not give any time off, even though you've earned it. Fired half their team. Old School management trying to compete in a new school environment.

    Advice to Management

Get smarter people who understand social media and who know anything about New York City.

    Pros

I really enjoyed working for this company. The people were great and the job itself wasn't bad too. If you can get over the favouritism and not being judged on the merit of your work then it is great

    Cons

It was very cliquey and management only promoted their friends. Very unprofessional.

    Advice to Management

Learn more about procedures and all aspects of the business to understand why things work the way they do and stop micromanaging!

I have been working at kgb deals full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Awesome people, great ideas, small team, quite relaxed but it's a good place to interact and buzz ideas off eachother

    Cons

lack of execution, a lot of the time an action would be put into play but it would never be seen through to the end. Constantly changing, difficult environment to be in.

    Advice to Management

    Happy workers
