Great athletic wear and discounts, corporate office has a good vision.

It's retail, so your standard complaints.

I have been working at lucy Activewear full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Nice environment, able to wear comfortable clothes, and great customers.

    Cons

Long hours, lots of events which involves transporting product out of store, floor moves weekly, inconsistent directive, empty promises and limited payroll. Encouraged to spread the lucy love on your own time.

    Advice to Management

The president hasn't even visited all 50 of the stores, she is out of touch.

I worked at lucy Activewear full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great team mentality. Pulls from sports and motivating mentality of being a trainer. Get to wear very comfortable and casual clothing to work. Some of the people are awesome.

    Cons

Pay isn't great. Benefits are okay. Discount seems good but with what you are paid and how much the merchandise costs, it's not all that great. Little to no upward mobility.

    Advice to Management

Figure out who your customer is. "Every woman" is not your customer. It's a nice idea, but anyone who knows a lick about business, and retail in particular, is that you have to narrow down your demographic in order to really take advantage of a particular market. The lack of focus makes it difficult to keep customers loyal and assure them Lucy knows what direction they're traveling in.
