I have been working at lululemon full-time

    Pros

team work ethics. that sweat life. fun. vision & goals.

    Cons

over worked. culture can get a little tedious. it's retail. under paid.

    Advice to Management

listen to the people who work your floors as they are the direct source of what the people want.

I worked at lululemon part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

given compensation for weekly exercise, great bonuses during holiday season, and a generous discount on products

    Cons

you have to be "liked" to retain the job. There is an "in crowd" and if you become well liked during your seasonal employment, you'll get rehired the next year, otherwise you lose your chance. They want you to become obsessed with work, exercise with coworkers outside of work ("sweat sessions"), come in to be coached on your goals, etc. It starts to seem like they want lululemon to be more than just your job.

    Advice to Management

    make everyone feel welcome

    I worked at lululemon full-time

    Pros

fun colleagues, nice perks, many in-store roles available at any given time

    Cons

hard to move up in management or roles outside of stores, popularity contest to get next role

    Advice to Management

stop saying it isn't retail...it is!

I worked at lululemon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Decent part time discount, 40%
Competitive pay at $12/hr + commission
They pay for you to go out into the community and excersize

    Cons

VERY discriminatory staff, looks down on overweight customers sometimes ignoring them
    Cliquey, cult like environment
    No respect from management
Taught to "educate" guests on product 24/7 when in a typically work day key leaders just told you to try to get people to sell full outfits
Gets in trouble if not always "educating" guess even if the store is dead
Management forgets breaks a lot of the time

    Advice to Management

Lay off guests a little bit
Pay more attention to staffs needs
    Be friendlier

    I worked at lululemon part-time

    Pros

Nice bonuses and perks and a fun team of people

    Cons

Immediately feel pressure to fit in but also be yourself. They want to foster a strong sense of community and brand love, which is great, but the clearings and weird outpour of emotion during meetings was too much for me. I couldn't drink the kool aid.

regional managers need sorting out, company going through lots of good changes, work life balance can get out of whack if you want to grow
