I worked at medi USA full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Company is very organized. Health benefits are second to none. Decent 401k match. I had one of the coolest bosses in the company. If you do your work they seem to leave you alone (at least my boss did). Sales support was great. This was a good job if you are trying to get in medical sales. Build relationships with people and you can land a different medical sales job that pays way more which is why I ended up leaving.

      Cons

Commission is quarterly and paid only on growth from the previous years final sales numbers. You can have two good months and if the third is bad you might make zero commission for the quarter. Only about 20-24 out of 45 reps actually make commission each quarter. Quotas are the same for every territory which is pretty ridiculous as each territory is different. This causes people to sandbag if you know you are having...

      Advice to Management

My boss was amazing. To the management above him I would change quotas and the way you do commission or expect people to keep leaving like they are.

      Pros

      Good schedule, good benefits, Hours

      Cons

      Bad enviroment, Gossip, Unfairness, Depressioning

      Advice to Management

Manager needs to be re-evaluated. Sits and chatts all day with supervisor and team leads about gossip and employees. Treats employees unfair and unequal. If you simply ask to see if you can get a vacation day off she will assume you want to take the day off and use it against you!! She never says hi. Needs to be more organized and take the time to listen to her employees, instead of just assuming that they want to take...

      Cons

-Management is rude, wishy washy on wants, throws lower employees under bus, picks on specific people while praising others -A lot of expectations with horrible salary -Sexist environment, if you’re a woman don’t expect to do well -Long hours, salaried -No appreciation -Bonuses deducted without reason, subjective and and not explained

      Advice to Management

      Pros

Fast paced environment with a lot of opportunity to learn different areas of the business Products are awesome and greatly benefit the user. Good benefits

      Cons

Upper management is a boys club. Zero upward mobility. Compensation is NOT competitive. Do your homework, they are 10-15k below average. Micromanagement is the primary style. You’ll be asked to go above and beyond with zero compensation adjustments even when the your job continues to expand well beyond the original scope. The company is expanding greatly at the cost of their employees.

      Advice to Management

Trust your employees to do their jobs, and compensate them fairly.

      Pros

medi cares about their employees by trying to keep the benefits costs down, continuing to look for ways to keep their employees healthy, and looking for ways to benefit the community.

      Cons

Due to growing at a fast pace, it is a very fast paced environment and can be stressful at times.

      Advice to Management

Continue to value and care about your employees and show them appreciation.

I worked at medi USA full-time for more than a year

      Pros

The pay is well below medical sales compensation. You can expect a very mediocre base salary. And quarterly bonus payouts based off of growth. The health benefits were top notch, and the 401(k) match was not bad either. If you have an established track record of doing well upper management will more than likely leave you alone. Expect quarterly ride along's with regional manager.

      Cons

Your main product line is extremely commoditized. The company positions the product as a premium device over all others within the industry, as a result it's not uncommon to be twice the cost of other competitors. The reimbursement is poor on these products, sometimes nonexistent. Vast majority of these patients will have to pay out-of-pocket for these garments. Advice to Management

Way too much focus on trying to diversify product portfolio. In a desperate attempt to increase profits, The company has invested in completely new product markets. Although exciting and innovative technology, these products are set up for failure. Consistent with the other products, extremely overpriced and again no reimbursement.
