I have been working at naviHealth full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There are so many things that are pro. Patient engagement is a primary focus. Work from home primarily. Flexible working schedule with extremely limited holidays or weekends to work. Ongoing performance reviews to allow you to grow professionally in an encouraging environment. Ongoing training and unlimited amount of extremely knowledgable colleagues to use as resources. Management that listens to and encourages staff...

    Cons

There are a few people within the company that continue to encourage negativism and are overall disgruntled by the lack of receiving any type of promotion. They continue to choose to be negative instead of putting that energy towards something positive and to take a look at why they weren't promoted. They may find the answer to the why by looking into a mirror. All jobs have days where you feel overwhelmed, but how you...

    Advice to Management

Continue to do what you are doing. Change is inevitable and provides employees the chance to grow. I see the difference you are making daily in both the faces of my patients and my awesome team. For that....THANK YOU!

I have been working at naviHealth full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Very innovative company that is leading the path to PAC reform. It is the only company that I have worked for where you feel valued as an employee. We had a lot of growing pains in the beginning, but managers always seemed to try and find better ways of changing things to make them better.

    Cons

The few negative people in the company that never seems to be happy. The majority are happy, positive, enthusiastic, caring, and excellent team work and collaboration. Never worked for a company where your colleagues and managers seem to genuinely care.

    Advice to Management

Try to ignore the negative people and maybe they will go away!

I have been working at naviHealth full-time

    Pros

You have the ability to make a difference, decrease readmissions, get patients to the right place at the right time with use of excellent computerized data, utilize your professional knowledge, manage your time as fits your job and the facility you work with. The ability to inform patients and families of what they can expect in post acute care situations, assist in helping them make decisions, obtain assistance from...

    Cons

I have seen some comments on this site that are negative, but that has not been my experience. There is a lot of documentation and an expectation that you utilize your knowledge base, but they hire medical professionals...so you would expect people working at the top of their game, knowledgeable regarding what needs to be documented and why, and smart enough to assist in making decisions. If anyone says there downsides,...

"Difficult job, certainly not patient centered. The company focus was to discharge patients from rehab and hospital ASAP."

    Negative Outlook

I worked at naviHealth full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Working mainly from home was a plus. Visiting patients in a care setting was most rewarding.

    Cons

Very long hours. Educating discharge planners and other disciplines in the care setting as well as receiving needed documentation in a timely fashion to complete assessments was challenging. Most frustrating was an ever changing process of the coveted computer discharge model which never took into consideration special needs of the patient and wasted hours of unorganized video conferences as well as very poor training.

    Advice to Management

None. Management focus will ultimately and always be about the bottom line and never patient or employee centric.
