    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

I worked at one laptop per child full-time

    Pros

    Great concept
    World class initiative
    Did a lot of good
    Energized the tablet industry
Offered a new paradigm for learning

    Cons

The founders are not business people
Brought in people they liked rather than those skilled in management
Did not create a budget for marketing, country operations etc and burdened the executives with what they were not tasked with

    Advice to Management

    Raise resources before hiring people
Always have 12 months burn in the reserves
A seasoned CFO is usually not the best CEO and someone who did not become CEO by 40 is unlikely to become one at 70

    Pros

It was a great team and a great project, the environment made me excited to go to work on a daily basis.

    Cons

It was frustrating to deal with time differences and decentralization as the main offices were in Miami and Boston, not in Brussels.

    Advice to Management

You are doing a great job, keep it up. I believe that the project is making a positive impact on the lives of millions of kids worldwide.
