    Cons

Hard to work between multiple locations and time zones, should be better with Krush acquisition

    Advice to Management

ooVoo is a really good app, users love it. Focus on making it better

I worked at ooVoo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    9-5 work environment
    great benefits and perks
    solid pay per hour worked
ability to work remotely and make your own hours

    Cons

no growth, no career advancement because there are either no goals and objectives (personal or company), or the goals have not been passed on to the employees. staff levels remain flat and favoritism and brown-nosing are so in-your-face. Yes-men only will do well there, but nobody really wins because the company sinks a little more each day.

    Advice to Management

get a leader who understands the internet and mobile apps businesses and has at least some level of operations experience. the employees understand how poorly the company is performing. You will continue to maintain that low position as long as you keep telling the employees how great everything is. we see all the numbers, you're only fooling yourselves and being counterproductive but suggesting that things are the best they've ever been. Best way to overcome problems is to first admit you have one, or in your case a multitude of problems, weak players in leadership positions, poor work ethics, no transparency on company performance and a complete lack of willingness to listen to employees and customers.

I have been working at ooVoo full-time

    Pros

High-energy, fun team with great office culture. The team is really excited to create products, services, and experiences that delight users with a focus on video led experiences. There are also lots of super-smart engineers focused on video quality and solving the challenges of making video work well on mobile devices. The company is product and design led with pretty tight collaboration between all functional teams, especially given the fact that there are two locations. There is a data driven approach to product strategy and problem solving, which is refreshing in New York.

    Cons

The team is lean for the number of opportunities, product features, and platforms. Overall, more resources in all functional areas would help the company grow faster.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people in all areas of the company to move faster.

    I worked at ooVoo full-time

    Pros

There were a few good people there but they've all either been let go or voluntarily left.

    Cons

They've changed management several times - 3 different CEOS, 3 different marketing teams. They fire full teams all in one single sweep. They just keep changing the people but continue to have the same problems. The product is and will always be full of bugs. There is no cohesion between US/Israel offices, it's always "us vs. them." It's a miracle this place is still in business and the only reason they are is because one man owns the company and throws money into it. There is absolutely no sense of culture there. It was seriously one of the worst places I've ever worked and I don't miss it for a second.

    Advice to Management

Ask yourselves why you are still in business? Nobody has ever heard of ooVoo, nobody cares about it and nobody ever will. It's a sinking ship and you're on it.

    Pros

Good people to work with. CxO's are honorable and professional. Well funded. Good technology that does work well. Might have changed since I was there but same CEO so assume corporate culture is the same.

    Cons

Tend to have a fuzzy vision or clouded strategies. A bit of a separation of communication between marketing and sales versus engineering and development.

I worked at ooVoo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Decent pay for work load

    Cons

Company has no idea what to do with product, countless of changes in upper management, application/product is not reliable, poor developers and product management, a US and Israeli company that works like two independent companies. Preference given for Jewish employees. Just a confusing place to work.

    Advice to Management

Stop paying all these high dollar salaries and consultants. Start with Israel and get some decent programmers and a better product team because your app has a boatload of design issues. You can't place new UI over a bunch of crap. Your product needs to work!!
