    Pros

Good people who are generally supportive of one another and solution-oriented. Feels like everyone can genuinely make a difference in the company culture and business. Professional work environment and the ability to work alongside some very talented individuals.

    Cons

Up until late 2018, there was a revolving door of Executive and C-Suite that created a culture of instability and insecurity over time. Bastions of entitlement that are slowly disappearing.

I have been working at rag & bone full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Clothing Allowance - $1,200 at wholesale price + tax Ability to be an entrepreneur/creative work place

    Cons

    - Broken commission structures that penalize top performing employees who don't adhere to outrageous sales goals implemented by corporate and management. Employees are essentially robbed of money earned from commissions and given 1% commission when promised 3%-6%. - Company "policies" consistently change on a weekly basis without any explanation or reason, creating an unsafe work environment for employees. - Store employees are placed under constant pressure to deliver outrageous sales goals and are asked to harass customers by management until the customer says no more or stop. - Employees are not allowed to work any overtime hours, but are expected to come in early and stay late on a weekly basis. If by accident you work over your allotted scheduled time, you will be reprimanded by management and corporate for doing so. - Unhealthy work environment that encourages employees to be competitive and highly aggressive with one another in order to push daily sale goals. - Employees are required (and scheduled ) for 30 minutes EVERYDAY to harass previous and current customers via e-mail or phone call about current sales and or promotions. In addition to that, it is mandatory to BCC (blind carbon copy) management on ALL e-mail correspondences with customers to ensure it is completed or else you will be reprimanded/terminated. - When short staffed, employees are not allowed to leave the store OR take a lunch break for 7-8 hours, which illegal and unethical. - Management forces sales associates to get personal and confidential information from EVERY customer before allowed to complete any transaction. (i.e. full name, personal phone number, home address, e-mail, etc.) Weekly reports are then sent out, printed, and required to be signed by each individual employee if they have not met companies standard (90% or above capture rate). - Employees are required to adhere to mandatory monthly reviews by store management without the opportunity to review their managers in return. These monthly "reviews" rarely lack any information on how store employees can improve in their current roles, but instead consist of personal attacks on your integrity, appearance, and personal hygiene. - The quality of clothing "guaranteed" by rag&bone to it's customers (and sales associates) is misleading and unethical. Products are often marketed as "luxury" or "quality guaranteed" but in reality are often mass produced overseas and made from poor quality materials., resulting in garments falling apart and becoming unwearable.

    Pros

Not really much to be positive about here. The management is warped beyond belief and everyone is constantly trying to stab each other in the back. The work environment is extremely toxic so don't be fooled by the fake reviews on here. HR has been asking new hires that start to put great reviews.

    Cons

There is NO flexibility with hours...unless your management then you can come and go as you please with no repercussions. Don't try to advance here either- they have a very high school like mentality that only the favorites or the "cool" kids get promoted. Their HR team is completely incompetent and there's always someone new. If you try to bring up an issue they will "listen" and then go tell your manager which makes for an even more hostile environment than before. And lets not talk about how they hired a CEO and then fired her a few months later. Fortunately, I left before I got to be a part of that disaster. My advice to anyone who is considering working here is don't listen to the lies the recruiters will tell you and save yourself the anxiety.

    rag & bone Response

    September 23, 2019Chief People Officer

Thank you for your feedback. We are working hard to build a company culture that supports the talented people who work here and have made a lot of progress as a company in the past 9 months to deliver on that objective. When you are going through a business transformation it requires incredibly hard work and in some instances, new skills and experiences. The Leadership and HR teams leading the business today are comprised of experienced professionals who are very passionate about the brand, the people they recruit and interact with day to day to drive results and create a culture we all can be proud of. To that end, as HR professionals, we respect the confidential nature of the information shared with us and work hard every day to resolve issues with only positive intent. I am sorry that you did not feel supported by my team when you were here and that your experience was not a positive one. I take that very personally and apologize. Your review does not reflect the progress we are making as a team and company nor does it represent the values we live by and culture we are striving to create. Again, thank you for your feedback and we will continue on our quest to do better. Onward! Rebecca Seidenstein, Chief People Officer

I have been working at rag & bone full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Clothing Allowance (which was reduced TWICE during my employment, taxed on my paycheck, and also NEVER received when promised) - Insurance & Benefits (available but with high premiums and poor coverage. I never used it ONE TIME and it cost me hundreds of dollars out of my paycheck)

Great discount, easy work environment.

    Cons

Turned into disaster of a company. The past few months they cut commission completely that made work turn into a competitive environment with co-workers. Product is not what it once was, multiple high upper management was let go/decided to leave. This company went downhill fast, it’s clear as day when a lot of people quit since November.....

I worked at rag & bone full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    -great discount and free clothing

    Cons

-There is no growth potential here. I’ve watched some of the most loyal and talented people be stuck in the same position for 4+ years. -No oversight of management -Toxic work environment -Lack of accountability -Poor pay structure, your clothing allowance is their excuse to pay you an unfair wage. -Dismissive to raises -They will always hire outside before promoting from within -Dishonest with growth and earning potential -Will spontaneously cut the hours of all their employees. There was one month where multiple people I worked with couldn’t make rent.

    Pros

-Overall great clients. -Useable, informative product knowledge. -Coworkers were friendly and helpful, truly felt like a team. -Reasonble sales goals (and little micromanaging from management regarding them). -Decent benefits overall. -Store was beautiful, cool environment to work in. -Designers/buyers actually seemed to care about and use collection feedback from clients and employees. -Good pay compared to competitors. -Promotes from within.

    Cons

-Schedule was only made one week in advance, and often not until the last minute (Saturday evening). -Management frequently gossips about staff. -Staff could be kept up to an hour and a half past their scheduled time with no warning or explanation. -Poor communication skills (I once made a mistake and was not told about it for over 2 weeks despite working with management almost every day during that time). -Management does not trust new employees. -Huge amount of turnover in the store I worked at specifically due to above situations.
