    Pros

Fast paced, heavy tasking, good for learning to hit sales goals. Great for learning visual merchandising and marketing. Good place to learn magament skills

    Cons

Low pay, intense, nasty clientele. Lots of tasking at once, the company seems to focus too much on clearance instead of growing the brand. Lots of drama within stores. Quick turnover.

    Advice to Management

Good for a first time manager, if you can avoid the drama there is room to grow, if not, get your year experience and get out

    Pros

Employees, and customers make it fun

    Cons

Too much work for very little time. Unorganized processes. Allocations are off majorly leaving large quantities of clearance. Upper management tends to make false promises and does not hold their end of the deal.

    Advice to Management

Work on integrity through results. Offer guidance before sending hate, or mad emails.

    I worked at rue21 part-time

    Pros

25% discount,50% about once a month. Always current fashions.

    Cons

Fragrance they are way to pushy with. The care only a little about their employees. As long as money is being made they can care less. They also send way too much product. Understaffed. Underpaid for the amount of work.

    Advice to Management

Work in your higher volume, tourist area stores for a week. By that meaning being on the floor and hands on and see what most of the staff deals with.

I have been working at rue21 part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

A fun work environment and always plenty of things to accomplish during the day. Solid discount on clothing and a good first job.

    Cons

However, during the off seasons it can become incredibly tedious/boring to work there, even with the added responsibilities of an assistant manager. It's incredibly hard to get a pay raise or earn the amount that's actually deserved.

    Advice to Management

Provide more avenues of opportunity to make more money. At times I feel I put in as much, or more effort than my coworkers, and yet I still earn much less than them. They've even told me they wouldn't have taken my job at my pay rate.
