In my experience on the engineering side, there is significant work-life balance improvements in the past several years. I believe Oshkosh Corp learned from past mistakes on employee burnout and many of my colleagues agree that things have much improved. Pay is competitive - people need to be reminded that cost of living in Oshkosh area is significantly lower than a big city The new Global Headquarters building is impressive
Cons
Still hard to get promoted within several years (if even then). Lack of stretch assignments given. Still a lot of silos and compartmentalization of skillsets. Also there is a lot of politics in the middle management level - more than I have previously experienced at similarly sized companies.
