I was offered a position at a very low $33k. I have my degree and plenty of experience. I sent a negotiation letter asking for $40k. The average range in the area is $36-$52k. Is that reasonable? Mind you, it is still going to be a $13,000 pay cut from what I previously was making. I hadn't received a word back and spoke with their assistant today. She said she'll ask they review it, but stated it most likely won't happen because it's "too high". Then said to accept original off by 9am tomorrow.
