Recently got promoted and got a 10% raise. Yet, I still make barely more than people who are a level lower and joined the firm less than a year after I did. From a financial perspective it truly doesn’t make sense to stay with a firm beyond 2/3 years anymore. I am in industry FWIW.

In my interview process, someone mentioned to definitely negotiate your salary because you’re stuck with it once you get in and it’s nearly impossible to get promoted.😬 And the recruiter also mentioned they don’t give yearly bonuses. What things are you doing to increase your salary at Amazon? That’s seems weird to me coming from Google.
