The game maker has performed exceptionally well as the video-game industry shifts to digital distribution of games and as new investments in esports are starting to show great potential."
In 2016, the Call of Duty Endowment set an ambitious goal of placing 50K vets into high-quality jobs by 2019. This morning, we were honored to watch as Dan Goldenberg rang the Nasdaq opening bell to announce that we achieved our goal!
“The Call of Duty Endowment has exceeded expectations and continues to benefit the lives of veterans and their families, significantly giving back to those who sacrificed for others,” said Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard and co-founder of the Endowment. “With U.S. and U.K. veteran unemployment and underemployment challenges persisting, I am thrilled to advance our efforts with a new, ambitious goal of securing employment for 100,000 veterans by 2024.”

Every year Activision Blizzard organizes an annual Veterans Day of Service (VDOS). Employees across our US and UK company’s participate in giving back to those who have served by performing community service projects to benefit local veterans organizations. We wanted to give our interns a taste of how important this event is for us by coordinating their very own Intern Veteran Day of Service this past week. Interns from Activision, Central Technology, Vicarious Visions and more participated by putting together care packages for homeless veterans in their communities. They also got the chance to meet Dan Goldenberg, Executive Director of the Call of Duty Endowment (CODE) who shared the fantastic work CODE has done in supporting veterans in their transition to professional careers.
Great Work #ATVIInterns you did us all proud! #ATVILIfe #WorkWithHeroes
A special thanks to the team at Blizzard Austin for welcoming the Walking with the Wounded team to our offices on Friday, June 15, for a morning meet-and-greet. Walking with the Wounded seeks to raise awareness and funds to support wounded ex-servicemen and women in their transition from the Armed Forces to sustainable employment. 6 former servicemen and women from the UK and the US will walk in several stages to total 1,000 miles across the U.S. One of their first stops earlier this month was at our Blizzard headquarters in Irvine, CA.
A few of our BlizzATX vets were on hand to have breakfast with the Walking with the Wounded team before they hit the road and headed into central Austin to finish at the Stevie Ray Vaughan statue on Auditorium Shores. They will complete the entire expedition in September in New York City.
We were honored to have them join us twice on their journey and wish the team the best in their important endeavor.
We are honored to be included in Fast Company's "The World's 50 Most Innovative Companies of 2018" and wanted to take this moment to thank our teams of exceptional professionals for their commitment, dedication and passion. It take heroes to make heroes! #ATVILife
