    BASF donation enhances STEM programming for Wyandotte students

    Students in teacher Greg Brovont's sixth- to eighth-grade STEM classrooms at Wilson Middle School are beneficiaries of a recent donation from BASF Corp. The company contributed $9,000 to the Wyandotte Public School system to support the purchase of classroom materials for science, technology, engineering and math programs for students in grades K-12.

    BASF plans $150 million expansion at Geismar plant; 85 new jobs to be created

    BASF will spend $150 million to expand its chemical complex in Geismar in what the company said is the first step in an effort to double production of a product used to make construction, insulation, automotive and packaging goods. The methylene diphenyl diisocyanate expansion will create 15 new direct jobs, with an average annual salary of more than $86,600, plus benefits.
