#ItsBetterTogether Emo and Nikola have known each other for over 20 years. They’ve shared one of the most special moments in a person’s life; their childhood memories. Their grandparents are all from the same village in Bulgaria, a place where Emo and Nikola used to spend their summer vacations. Today, they continue to create memories together. This time, engineering the future!
Blankfactor strongly values in-person collaboration and being positive members of the communities in which we’re based. This year for Colombia’s unique Love and Friendship Day, we flew all of our remote-based collaborators throughout the country into Medellín. Hotel expenses covered, our amazing talent got to meet other team members who also flew in from Costa Rica, Bulgaria, and Argentina. For three consecutive days this past week, we successfully held a 70+ person gathering we called our Teamwork Appreciation Festival. We couldn’t be happier! As a result, our talent got to meet face-to-face to share typical meals and snacks from each of the countries represented. We took a dance class together, and learned from and about each other during our team-building activities as we continue to take big strides into the fast-growing and amazing company that we are.

September is team-building month at Blankfactor. Following our Costa Rican colleagues’ get-together, a couple of weeks ago, our Bulgarian teams also came together for team-building activities. We gathered in Bankso, at the outskirts of the majestic Pirin mountains. There, we held our first values’ rollout workshop and finished with many laughs, singing, and dancing… This was exactly how team building should feel. Here’s a summary of the entire event with pictures. These are a great souvenir for us, but also hopefully useful for you, in case you’re wondering whether Blankfactor could be the right employer for you: 🔹 The weather in Bansko was predictable for this time of the year in the mountains. It kept changing every hour. Yet, that didn’t stop us from going on long walks, swimming, and camping by the fire all night long. 🔹 Our company values have officially been “humanized” through meaningful examples that came from our own talent’s stories at work. 🔹We got to know a little bit more of each other and had a fun time. 🔹We enjoyed singing and dancing.
