Thanks to you, today we’re giving something back to society by supporting charitable projects with the hearts we collected. Since you managed not only to achieve but also to exceed the goal of the challenge, we have decided to increase the donations to €180,000. This will enable us to support these six charitable projects: Miyawaki Forests, Food Bank Yokohama, Project Uerê, Instituto de Rehabilitación al Maltrato de Menores "NEEDED", Unity in Africa Foundation, Code for Romania. On October 8th we celebrated a milestone together: Continental′s 150-year anniversary. Over the past 150 years, Continental has shaped mobility significantly, and millions of people place their trust in us every day. The adjustments at the Continental Group include changes to the Executive Board. Frank Jourdan and Helmut Matschi will step down from the board by mutual agreement on December 31. We would like to thank them for their strategic vision and commitment over the years. It's not a goodbye, it's a new chapter: While our ways may part, we will remember the good times we had with our colleagues from Vitesco Technologies! "As of today, Vitesco Technologies and Continental are going their separate ways and we have turned one global champion into two – each in their own field. At the same, I wish the entire team headed by Andreas Wolf all the best. The employees at the leading manufacturer of electric drives are in an excellent position to be able to profit from the global growth market of e-mobility and to master the transformation in this area.", wishes our CEO Nikolai Setzer. Employees from Vitesco Technologies are no longer part of the Continental Group. With the spin-off, the company becomes independent.

Are you also into latest automotive technologies? Our colleague Rohit is part of a visualization team that solves real-life problems with innovative technologies to improve autonomous driving. In his blog article he gives us an in-depth overview of his first exciting project called "Transparent Trailer". Along with his teammates he brainstormed the idea to create a rear-view wherein a driver can see what is behind the vehicle even with a trailer attached. We succeeded, we won bronze and I was named the best goalkeeper in Europe": these words are from our colleague Vladimir from Serbia. We are excited about his triumph in the Euro Deaf handball championship.
